Should cross-dressing men be allowed in women's public restrooms or in places where women undress?

A couple friends and I were debating this. The debate was about something which took place with my best friend and I about four years ago when were in our late teens (I was eighteen and K was seventeen). The talk began because of a TV show we were watching but immediately went into the event at the movie theater (next paragraph).

We and our boyfriends were at the movies and my friend K and I went into the restroom. K was in front of the mirror and adjusted her bra (she was fully dressed and only adjusted it through her blouse). Then she noticed the person standing a few feet from her was a man wearing a wig and dressed as a woman. He had no doubt been seeing her fix her bra. I had to jump in front of her and begin pushing her back away from the guy to keep her from punching him out.

Two issues kept popping up in the discussion .....

No matter what clothing a person has on he is still a man in the company of women who doesn't know it's a man. And the women in a situation (doing things in a restroom) where they don't want an unknown man seeing them.

Second, the potential for a voyeur or pervert to dress as a woman just to get into a women's restroom and watch women, or even a pedophile wanting to see minor girls.

What's everyone else's views on this? My friend K wants me to also word the question a second way. Should men be allowed in women's public restrooms if they are dressed in women's clothes?

if a male is gay only not bi it is not a safty issue he could care less what she has if a croos dresser however is still a man and most likely straight ( just freaky) or at lease bi this can pose a threat and i would say no this person should not be allowed in the girls room or dressing room i would further say that unless the guy has had the sex changed operation it would be best for all for him to go to the mens room

I would guess because he was wearing a wig there was no operation. I would venture to guess a transsexual would most often grow their hair long or do a woman's hair style before they do the operation. That way they are ready for the complete change.

I don't think so. It's just weird and it would make me uncomfortable with him being there. He could easily just be a prev like you said. A prev will do just about anything.

A man is a man no matter what has been added or removed the same can be said for a woman. Everyone needs to stop and think about what we are really talking about. Don't you feel like this kind of thing has been taken to far?! We as a society have become corrupt and even asking the question "is it ok for a man dressed as a woman to go to the ladies restroom?" I mean just look at this question! The young lady who started this thread is asking a question like this because we have all let this kind of lifestyle just walk in amongst us. We have turned a blind eye to even the simplest things, like a man is a man and a woman a woman and NO matter what on the day you came out of your mother you were either born a man or woman! God made that decision for you, He created you and people want to change what God has, in His divine wisdom, created. It's like saying to God "hey there God but you know what I know better than you do and I think I could do a better job at it. I can see it now, your at the mall you need to go to the restroom as you turn the corner to look up you see 3 doors, on each door is a plaque with a stick figure, one with a dress and it says women, the other a stick figure with pants and it says men and the 3rd door has a stick figure with a skirt on with a mustache and under the figure is a BIG question mark!! Lol that day is just around the corner and when it gets here I'll just hold it until I get home! Lol

No male should be allowed in a ladies restroom or dressing room unless they are accompanied by their mother. Period.

I say no because now days most places except grocery stores and resturants have family rooms where this person could go so that neither sex feels uncomfortable.

I think all public places should have to offer THREE restroom choices.

One with the word "MEN"

One with the word "WOMEN"

and one that says "CONFUSED"

As a dirty atheist liberal democrat voter who stands for LGBT rights, of course not. Men in the men's room, ladies in the ladies' room, that's why the signs are there. If you're a man who feels like a woman and dresses like one, I'm all for it, you go get it! Dressing like a woman, or even having surgery to look like one, doesn't give you a free pass to their restroom though. If you're a male in the women's restroom, you had better be 2 and holding your mom's hand.

So, if a lesbian goes into a female restroom to "peek" at women, that's the wrong restroom too? Was the xdress person looking under the stall door? no. Was he hitting on women? no. Was he doing anything inappropriate? no. Do women who dress and appear as men (yes they exist too, Chaz Bono!) also not use the female restroom? no.

Actually, after a sex change operation you are legally changed to another gender, so no matter what any one says or tried to do, they can't legally keep a trans woman out of the female bathroom if she has had the surgery. Don't like it? Shit at home.

I will not reveal my name but I will tell you what happend to me on August 21, 2014. I went to the restroom in a Fiesta in Houston, Texas and a man dressed as a women was butt naked washing his body in the women's restroom. I was stunned and couldn't believe what I saw. I am 43 years old and never in my life thought I would see something like that. The way that I knew he was a male and not a female is that he had his body naked from the waist down. Eventhough he was homeless or appeared to be homeless, he had no business going into the women's restroom. People do not pass this vote it will be on the ballot in November 2014. People watch your family and women be sure to lock the door behind you when you enter the bathroom.

"A man dressed as a woman butt naked." Did that make some kind of sense I'm not in on?

What I mean is that he had no clothes on and was washing his buttocks when I walked into the restroom. I looked down and saw his penis is that enough info for you.People take heed to what I am telling you. This is no joke. What is this world coming too.
