i have been in the dental field for years and would not recommend him at all, if you need a childrens dentist try Dr. Wood or Dr. Oliver, if you have Arkids A or B try Ocean Dental across from Wal-mart they will only see you if you have arkids, but it is a good place, kid friendly since they only work on kids up to 18. How old is your child?

Parkey and Davis are very gentle and they are family dentist. They will send you to a childrens dentist if they see the child is scared.

I would not recommend Dr. Barrett to anyone!! for a children's Dentist he has no patience and is rude to parents!! He is forceful and doesn't care if he scares the child!! I have went to him on a consult for my middle daughter, that was all I needed!! use Dr. Woods!!

Dr. Barrett is a monster and so is DR. Woods along with most of his staff. Go with DR. Spades or Dr. Shannon they are great!

I went to Dr. Barrett when I was younger and needless to say I have to take pills to relax me before I go to the dentist now. I wouldn't take my kids there for anything!

I took my son their one time to talk to him before he started to do work. Needless to say i and my son walked out crying b/c he showed his temper to my CHILD! That was 6 years ago and other stuff happened and my son is scared to go to any dentist now! When i got home after calming down for what all happened at his office i called his office and got his voicemail and told him what i thought about him. Worst experience ever!

I took my daughter to Dr. Barrett many years ago, and I was very satisfied with him. I have recommended him to countless friends over the years.

IF you really know some legitimate reason why a child should not go to Dr. Barrett (as one of you has implied), you should notify the police. If you don't, you are as guilty as the perp.

IF you are just a competitor or a gossip, you should be ashamed of yourself for besmirching the reputation of a medical professional.

I took my son there one time when he was little. I had to sign a piece of paper giving them permission to tie him down if he got uncontrollable. My son was 3 years old. Yes, tie him down.
Our family goes to Dr. Shannon now and we all love him. He's the best with kids and adults!

I am not saying that he is doing anything illegal!! He has no business working with children with his cold attitude! I wanted better for my child!! My kids love the dentist. They use Dr. Ainley in Paragould, he is very patient and caring. I know there is a better way of dealing with children other than tieing them down and being rude!!!

We took my 3yr old daughter there, they heavily sedated her and tied her down, and would not let us come back to be with her during her procedure. We could hear her screaming, but the office door was locked and we couldn't get in. Days later, I told the story to a group of friends who work at the hospital, and they all said he is known to lose his temper and hit kids when he is frustrated with them. Needless to say, we won't be back.

I took my 2 children to Dr. Barrett one time and it was horrible. My daughter told me how he yelled at one little boy to be quiet, plus he wouldn't let me go back there to be with her and my son. My children use Dr. Kevin Pierce. He accepts ARKIDS and my kids love him and his staff. Dr. Billy Spades is also a great dentist but I don't think he accepts ARKIDS

OMG!!! Thats what he did to my son! And my child was only 4 years old! He yelled at him in front of me. And i was in total shock i didnt know what to do. He first asked me if anyone was with us and i said no. Then he started telling me how if he had a cavity then they were going to go in and hold him down and not give him anything, well of coarse that scared my child and he started crying and then thats when he lost it on my son. It has definatly had an affect on my son and he is 10 now and scared to death of dentist. He always brings up that time at Barretts office.
