I've heard that they're closing and that NEA bought them out...anyone know the story? We use the clinic and hate to see it close!

It's not closing, just under new ownership. Dr Reinhart and Amy Duke are still there with the addition of Dr Amy Bailey. I believe Dr Ashodian is there for the time being.

Dr. Sam is no longer at Clopton clinic. He got a better job at NEA, across from St. Bernard off Matthews. Good for him. Great person.

What does this have to do with Pediatric Associates? I'm sure more are soon to be leaving. Seems like theyre losing all of the good ones up there.

NEA clinic did buy out Pediatrics Associates. Dr. Reinhard and Amy Duke, their NP, wkll be with NEA clinic. From what I've hard, Dr. Ashodian is going to Children's Clinic. He has flunked the pediatric boards many times so I don't know why they would want him. Dr. Hornbeck left the whole thing a few months ago. He's at Arcare and that's who I am taking my kids to. They love him and he's happy to be out of the whole mess. Anyway, NEA clinic owning them might be agood thing, but it seems liike they've lost all their nurses and staff. ( The reason I know all this is the I work at NEA Baptist Hospital.) With my NEA insurance it would be chaper to see the NEA docs but I'm going to keep taking my boys to Dr. Hornbeck. They love him and he's always made them feel great after visits.

Wow. that is pretty wild. My two kids have Mediaid and I wonder if they can still go to NEA. Does anybody out there know what's going with that. My kids always saw Dr. Hornbeck but they had Ashodian for their PCP. I know I don't want tu use Children's clinic. Can you change your kids' assignemnt to a different clinic?

I believe you can change your kids assignment on Medicaid IF the dr you're moving too has Medicaid slots open and has accepted your child.

Dr. Reinhard is a good doctor. He was great when our little one had reflux problems. You should be fine to keep you Medicaid with Peds. Associates and use Reinhard or th new one. I think it's Dr. Bailey. Or Amy Duch, the nurse practicioner, is good too. Just stick with a clinic you know because it can be hard to sign up with new doctors in this area.

This isn't quite right. I think Hornbeck left way before NEA came in. He's just working part time and slowing down. There's alwyas going to be a lot of staff change but my little girl sees Amy and the front office folks were all the same. Seems like the company just changed names. I don't know what happened to Ashodian.Nea might have kicked him outor he may be going out on his own.

We also followed Dr Hornbeck to ArCare. No way I was staying at Ped's without him. Dr Reinhard is a cocky jerk that can't see past his diploma, thinks he knows it all and doesn't really look at a childs history just at their current symptoms. This makes him a bad doctor, need to look at history and see illiness patters so the parent doesn't have to bring the kid back in 3 days when he could have prevented it which is what Hornbeck does. Dr Ashodian is super nice but needs to give it up because he has misdiagnosed my kids so many times it's not even funny. Nurse Amy was my second choice to see if Dr. Hornbeck was not available. She is 10 times the doctor Reinhard or Ashodian will ever be.
