I would LOVE for this to be true. Unfortunately, I doubt it.

With 92% of Obama's unemployed being females and the actual unemployment percentage over 20% over all it's not likely Macy's will be expanding even in a real city, let alone a stankhole like Jonestown. If people weren't coming from outside the city to shop (in spite of Obama's inflated gas prices) I don't think Dillard's, Penny's, or Sears would still be up and running. Don't get me wrong; I would love to see the U.S. economy growing, but that's not going to happen with the greedy liberal nut sacs running us into the ground. Get rid of the Kenyan and get the republicans in the majority again and we might have a chance, but it's all up hill now. Historically the democrat liberals always ruin us with too much government and too much taxes. Historically the liberal democrat rabble deny it and drown you with communist propaganda to try to convince you otherwise. Funny how they do that when they're taking it up the butt just like the sane part of the population.

I like how you turn a simple question about a department store into a hate-filled rant.

it really doesn't matter what the subject is on here. some people always seem to get away from it and change the subject completely. I think it would be a great thing to have a Macy's here.

Normal people find it amazing that halfwits like you would interpret his simple statement as being a hate-filled rant. You must be a sick minded Obama worshiper. No rant, just a simple statement of fact.

I could be wrong, but I was thinking that Macy's and Dillard's were the same. I thought that happened when the Macy's took over Goldsmith's and they started phasing them out.

Ther are supposed to be 4 magor retailers going in the mall that will be built in place of the old Indian mall that is being torn down. One of them could be Macy's, the names of the retialers have not been announced yet!

Yes, Macy's is slated to come to Jonesboro and open in 2013 or early 2014. You will most likely train in Memphis stores if you're accepted in a management position. Once the new location is well under construction, interviews for sales and support staff will begin. This is still some time in the future.

To clarify, Macy's did receive the former Goldsmith's Department Stores whereas the name changed fully to Macy's. Dillard's has no affiliation with Macy's. However, both are typically seen as anchor stores throughout the Midwest and Southeastern United States.

Does that clarify the rumors? This town will be fun, I'm sure.

Conservatives turn EVERYTHING into a political rant. Even worse, they're usually repeating faulty information, while acting as if everyone else is stupid for not agreeing.

We've all heard the saying that you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar, but many conservatives have no interest in changing anyone's opinion, because they only want to scream, yell and argue with someone. Proud people don't behave in that manner.
