Is it not almost just like Colton's Steak house?

It is really NOTHING like Colton's...Longhorn's is actually edible. I ate there today and it was very good. The Western Cheese Fries were excellent...they weren't over-fried or under-fried, they didn't arrive cold and hard, the cheese and bacon was abundant, and the chili was plentiful without being overwhelming.

My steak was cooked to perfection and tender. I've never received a steak at Colton's that didn't grow in your mouth because it was so tough or gristly. The steak was even better than Skinny J's steaks, and the baked potato wasn't cooked to death to the point of being burnt like I've gotten at Skinny J's .

I also tried the BBQ Chopped Salad (but I had mine without the red onions)…it was the best salad I’ve eaten in quite a while.

My server was courteous and attentive…my glass was never empty and everything was brought to me like I ordered it (kudos to our waiter “Dougie”). I left content, full and pleased with my experience. We both ordered the New York Strip, baked potato and signature BBQ salad (I also ordered the shrimp and lobster chowder). Our meal was under $48.00 (not including the well-earned tip). I’m sure we will be back again.

I'm sure I'll be spending lots of money there. It was one of my favorite places to go when we lived in a city without Prohibition.

I can't go to Coltons either. Grissly fatty steaks are the norm there. I wouldn't imagine them staying in business for long without a liquor license.

It's a more upscale setup than Colton's (though I have no complaints about their food). Currently mobbed as the big new restaurant in town, but service is friendly and all the food I ordered was tasty. Once the new wears off and wait times aren't so long, it'll be a nice place to eat.

Atmosphere is nice, soup and salad were both great, service was good. The steak was cooked to right temperature, but simply was not tasty and did not have much flavor. It was dry.

I sooooo want to go and try it out. I was going to take my kids Sunday but at 11:30 the line was outside the front door and wrapping around the building. There was no way I was going to wait over an hour to eat there, so we will try at another time. In glad to hear that it is good, many of the chain restaurants in Jonesboro don't seem to be as good as they should be.

We went to longhorn last week and we did not feel it was as good as Colton's. It was much more expensive and you did not get as much food for the price. Colton's is an overall better value and a better family atmosphere.

The meal I got there was very good! Way better than Colton's in my personal opinion except I like Colton's bread better.

What's the wait time to get a table averaging?

Food was mediocore for the price, took FOREVER to get to the table (went when there were maybe 10 tables in the whole place occupied), and was wrong when I got it so I had to send it back to be fixed. Waiter spent half is time flirting and chatting with waitresses after he delivered our food and acknowledged my drink was empty, did this several times-I'll be right back, then walks the five steps to the waiter station, talks for several minutes then finally makes it back after he's done sociallizing. Overall, it sucked. 25.00 for lunch is WAY over priced, combined that with mediocore service and food. There are too many other nice, more affordable, better staffed places in town for me to waste time and money there ever again. If I want to spend that kind of money, I'll stay local at a place like Godsey's that has better food, service, and atmosphere.

Filet was way overcooked and the crab shrimp dip was so salty I couold barely stand it. I will go back, but next time I will have them cook me another steak and I'll never order the shrimp crab dip again.

Given that it was Mothers' Day and Sunday to boot, at 2:30 we were told it would be 1-2 hrs to get in. Well, we figured by then the supper crowd would be there, so we opted to go elsewhere. A person in our party went in, to check it out, and found it way undersized for this town. But, that just matches everything else around here, halfa**ed.

Tried it out last week. The food was really salty and my steak was tiny. Way overpriced!! I didn't think the food was worth the money at all. Service was really good though. We went at about 4:30 on a weekday and there was no wait.

I had a burger platter and my husband had the prime rib sandwich platter. Both were delicious. The burger was awsome actually. I don't know the name of the burger but it was the one with the pepper jack cheese. Better be hungry because it is a lot of food!

There are steakhouses that don't ask, but, since it was on a sandwich, did they ask you how you wanted the ribeye cooked?
