Go back and read I never said I could prove 65bu/acre soybeans but I can prove 61. I did say my 5 yr corn average is 190 bu/acre and I can prove that also. I'm glad you're retired, hope you're enjoying life and collecting big rent checks. There are very high degrees of variability in dirt and farming practices so that may explain some of the yield differences. Nevertheless I'm not going to disrespect you anymore so have a good retired life and don't worry about my operation because I'm fully in control.
No prob, and I understand full well the differences in top soil, or lack thereof. I've got rice ground that is the best there is, but that doesn't always mean it's real profitable, thankfully we own land in several counties and some of it is rented to corn growers. Retirement has been great, I never though I'd retire before I was 50, but it's worked out well, although I do miss putting in a crop and harvest. The time between those two , not at all, haha. Good luck, and I hope everything continues to go well.

You've been bitching about one thing or the other since you been on this topic. I'm not bitter about anything sod buster. I work at a good job I pay my bills I pay my taxes and I have a little money in the bank. I'm just saying you farmers are Beggers Braggers. Which one are you?
Actually, go back and read my post and you'll find I haven't bitched about anything but I do think you're a bitter person with a chip on your shoulder and no real knowledge about American agriculture. I don't beg or brag. I would point out that this "free market" idea is pretty much non-existent in most all businesses of any size. The government subsidizes all major industries in one form or another whether it's tax credits, special legislation, etc.. There are very few true free market businesses anymore.

I just can't see land in northeast AR being viable at that price for agricultural purposes. Like the guest above, I can't see that one paying off it's cost in any timely investment period. I have some zero-graded ground with wells & some resevoir right off a state highway that wouldn't even come close to that value.

The government is neck deep in the farmer's business and crops are often used in foreign policy issues and it often has negative impacts on the farmer and then a domino effect through all the industries tied to agri. For the people who are bothered by farm subsidies, realize that about 90% of the Farm Bill funds don't go to farmers but to everything from free lunch for school kids to to commodity food distrubted to low income families. Take a look at the farmers that out of business every year and the ones that lose everything. If you still think it's a quick ticket to riche, there's land for sale all over northeast Arkansas.

Yeah, most companies hire employees for $150,000/year that don't know the difference between your and you're. You don't make $15,000/year, I'll bet on it.

Well, then prove it, I doubt you even know how to link anything to a response, much less make $150,000. I guess you could make meth and make around that much, but your intelligence level indicates you partake too much in your product to gross that much.

I think your on the crack wagon sparky, I actually did a little under $190,000 this yr which is up from $151,000 last yr. why would I prove anything to a welfare recipient like yourself. I'm not a $20,000 yr farm hand with free rent and electric lol that's for dang sure. I do have one question though? Why in the hell would you buy a Cadillac when you could have a Range Rover. Poor azz farmer

LOL, you won't gross that in your life, you're too stupid. But, if by some miracle you do, keep it up, I've bought another farm in Chicot county and I'll need your taxes to pay my subsidy.
