You need to slow down a little bit. Your time is no more important than theirs is.
If you're in that big of a hurry go to a different line. Why don't you mention your idea to a manager? Never know, they may try it.
If I have a large amount of coupons to use I will usually ask a manager if they could open a lane for me to check out in and they will pull the lane closed rope behind me...some will and some won't but it's a courtesy I am willing to give to other shoppers who aren't in the mood to wait when I am trying to be frugal, save money, and ensure that my kids will eat and my bills will be paid.

A week or so ago, I was at Kroger. Typically, the place was busy, with two checkers open. Anyway, I got in the shortest long line, and waited. In about 12 minutes, the lady in front of me started checking out. Out came the coupons...and I was trapped between her and 4 carts behind me. The checker rang up her stuff in about 6 minutes. Then the coupon search started. Long story short, the checker spent about 6 minutes checking her stuff, then we had to watch this person for 15 minutes pulling coupons out of a stack three inches thick!!! And of course she paid with a check the checker had to get some kind of approval for.

If you shop with coupons, as you buy something covered by a coupon, put in your pocket, purse, or nose, so the rest of us won't have to pay for your frugality.

I use coupons for several things. I start my shopping with a small stack of coupons on a paper clip. As I buy something, I move the coupon from that paper clip to another paper clip, so when it is time to check out, I have all the coupons ready to go. Why someone waits til they are done checking out to initiate the "great coupon trackdown" is beyond comprehension.

Today I bought groceries using coupons and at Kroger I spent $67 and saved $76 and at Target I spent $75 and saved $57.....for a total spent of $142 and savings of $133. I did not buy junk or 500 boxes of pasta, or 300 toothbrushes, or 6 million candy bars...I did however buy real groceries which included fresh fruits n veggies, Milk, cereal, various snacks, meats, breakfast foods, can foods, toilet paper, light bulbs, and so much more ..ALL NAME BRAND!!....The longest part of the whole process was the cashiers at both stores were untrained in the use and acceptance policy of coupons and one acted like she was mad at the world and didnt care. So the line behind me with my very organized coupons was not my fault but I was happy with my savings and some of those behind me were rather impressed too.

I dont know about coupons but I do know they need a seperate isle for people who use them. Every department store and grocery chain including Walmart should have a special checkout for this. I absolutely despise someone in front of me shuffling through a whole stack of crumpled up paper searching for a coupon for an item. Not only are they costing the retailer time but are also taking up everyone elses time thats behind them waiting. This is so rude. Next time your doing this just take a look at the people behind you and the dirty looks your getting. One word of advice, try spending equal amount of time working at a regular job that you would spend hunting down, clipping, and searching products and you will not need those coupons.
What a pompus jerk!

"Coopuns" is what Yankees and people from California call coupons ("cuepons).

Ron White even did a routine about it for his standup comedy act.

Good to hear you did so well and got things you actually need and will use. I have a friend who gets like 10 deodorants, 20 shaving creams, 42 razors, etc. I may be exaggerating a little on those numbers but you get my point. I could understand that if the excess were being donated or shared with the less fortunate, but she just keeps this enormous amount of products she will probably never use. That just turned me off to it. We all need to learn to stretch our dollars these days. I will try to attend. Thanks!

lol,it took the ppl on this show 2 to 3 hours to check out they had so much stuff. They got like 1000 dollars worth for about 50 bucks. It was pretty amazing. But they spend hours a day doing it.
i think its wasteful....they buy hundreds of 1 item and then it sits on a shelf and decays. why not buy just what you need in stead of being a horder.

I've attended a coupon class but never got the hang of it. I just wish I could find someone with this large " stock piles " like seen on tv, and let me shop from them. Look that way you get to make money for your next shopping trip while making room for more in your stock pile. Even at selling items in your stock pile for say $.25-$1 each look at the money you would be making! your next shopping trip wouldn't cost u anything outta your pocket, it could be paid for by the money I gave u for items in your stock pile! Makes sense to me! lol

Yeah, I also love it when the lady in front of me says, "Somebody's got this on sale for 39 cents" and then goes through the entire newspaper trying to find the ad that will save her a dime!
Just let me pay the dime difference, Lady, and get the #&!! outta the way!
Okay lady-I would be more that happy to let you pay the difference next time. It really adds up to more that you think. Leave your name and number so I can get the tab to you. Thanks!!

I seldom use coupons, but would be willing to clip them and drop them off some where such as a church or other community service site so that others can get some good out of them.

Any one know of anywhere in Jonesboro that I can drop them off? If so, address and hours please.

P.S. or a store that have a coupon exchange drop off would be even better.
