Please show some respect to this family and stop gossiping about their tragedy. If your close to the family, please use a reliable source for your questions instead of topix. If you are not close to te family, this simply does not concern you. Topix is not and never will be an appropriate place to discuss a persons death, especially if that person was married to JUDGE. God bless the family.

If it's a judge, the public has every right to know. I guess this suicide along with many others just goes to show ya that money isnt everything. Some rich person is always killing theirselves.

How do you know he was rich? Most people around here are clueless.

I used to be very good friends with Mr. Halsey Jr.'s older daughter, and while they are wealthy, it's most likely (if it is JH Jr. Who committed suicide) that the cause was his fathers death on Sunday

Yet another example of the disgrace we receive from KAIT. I urge every decent people to contact KAIT and demand that they appologize for this story. It is sad that they want to fuel rummors in this way. Have a little respect for the family, if it really is a suicide.

Have respect for the family of the one who committed suicide? People should strongly think about how committing suicide will effect their own family before they do this selfish act.

Yeah, cashing out and leaving all your problems to your wife to deal with is pretty shitty.

Why would he do that? From outward appearances, that family seemed to have it all?

I know nothing of this family. But, you should never judge a book by its cover. I'm sure they're like any family with many skeletons in their closets an many things that are shielded from the publics eye. That's generally how classy people handle themselves. They do not air all their dirty laundry out for everyone to see and judge...

Especially if that person was married to a judge? Seriously? You were onto a very good post until you said that. Its not appropriate place to discuss ANYONES death irregardless to who they are.

Just because someone has money that does not mean they are happy. Plenty of wealthy people do this as well as poor ones. It could have all been a depression issue just like Ray said, that is very common especially among people with high pressure lives. Remember some years ago there was Joe Boone, James McCauley and Dalton Farmer, this is along those same lines, and if I remember correctly those men were all on a similar medication for depression. One never knows what might cause this to happen. My heart breaks for Barbara, Jerry and their family, Jerry Jr. has always been a very sweet young man. Prayers to you all and we are so sorry for your loss.
