I just want to know why such a huge event with almost no vendors? I mean, we were so thirsty that we had to leave because there was no chance of getting anything to drink at BA burrito vendor and didnt want to take my children into the clubs. Night ranger was awesome but really, why werent there vendors? We were hungry too. We just left and went to IHOP because ruby tuesdays was packed.

There should have been more on display about the history of Jonesboro. Also, 150th celebration t-shirts should have been sold. And it would have been nice if more stores and restaurants were open, half of them were either packed or closed. I was really disappointed...stayed about 30 minutes. It seemed very unorganized, times in the newpaper should have been given with a more detailed schedule. Everyone went all out 50 years ago, and this year I think we put it to shame.

It was a big day in downtown jonesboro. The jonesboro sun said 11,000 people came and everyone seemed to have a good time. I saw more people that I know in town in the three hours than I have seen in the last year. It really brought the community together and the organizers went way out of their way to make it safe and fun for all ages. The kids had bouncing air slides set up in the street and families from all around came. The cookoff was nice . The music was great. It couldn't have been a more perfect day and it really made you proud of our heritage and history. Big thanks to all the organizers for treating Jonesboro to a great 150 year birthday.

I passed a couple of vendors in the streets selling bottles of gatorade during the Night Ranger show.

.....

Yes it's so great to see fascism dominating Jonesboro more than usual. Does the City spend one penny to feed, clothe or house the needy ! NOPE, NEVER. But spending $150,000 of taxpayer money to promote a small group of businesses downtown is the same ole fascism that has ruled Jonesboro for the past 30 years.
Jonesboro doesn't allow individuals to play music outside. But when a tiny group does it, it's just fine because they have all the rights; which these same people have turned into special priviliges for the few......just like they already did with renting public buildings, fireworks, alcohol and on and on and on. Jonesboro finances billion dollar corporations so they'll come to town, gave Nestle's HALF our water supply, building Bono lake for a tiny group of people(around 2,500), Saturday's City paid for event, and on and on and on.
Government is of The People, by The People, and for The People. Fascism is exalting a group, state, race or company above the rights of individuals. What ignorant people pretend is capitalism is actually fascism; which started with Reagan and has flourished til Obama took office. And IF Obama brings about more socialism, at least it will be a relief from the decades of pure fascism; which has it's source and foundation through christianity and their gospel of greed, aka gospel of prosperity.

Nope. You need to think about NOT despising America, get out of that christian cult you're in and attempt to get back in touch with reality some day.

No assumptions. Just accepting you as you are. But it does seem like you don't like anyone talking about the fascists who run Jonesboro, with these endless special interest expenditures like Saturday's event paid for with tax dollars, just to promote ghost town Downtown.

I don't like people that always find things to complain about. Next time something like this comes around why not try and do something about it instead of waiting til afterwards to complain

The crazy person on here spouting nonsense is none other than Terry Cooksey as well. He's just jealous his little band didn't get the gig. You think he would be used to being passed over for gigs by now though

LOL.....you christian bigots always have something bizarre to say about any and all facts anyone points out. Stating facts is NOT complaining. It's just stating the facts; something you prove you can't relate to or tolerate. Everything I posted was stated BEFORE saturday......and I have stated these facts for many years. This endless fascism has no place in government. Your hatred of America only has my contempt, fascist boy. Nothing else.\
But at least the convicted child rapist sees things YOUR bizarre way !

You need to put a little more herb in the home remedies to help you chill out dude. I would bet you go through a lot of keyboards pounding out your rants. Rush rules! Btw, when are you going to admit that Jimmy Mangrum from Black Oak Arkansas is not from Jonesboro?

I was referring to the people complaining about not there not being enough vendors downtown this weekend. I couldn't honestly careless what you have to say because most of it doesn't make any sense.

You continue to call me a christian and a facist but, you haven't got the slightest clue about what kind of person I am

What does that say about you?
