You're so right. And we didn't even need you tell us we also have the right to free speech and whether we want to patronize a business or not.
Apparently some people do need to be reminded of that.

The President of Chick-Fil-A stated his personal belief. All the people that preach tolerance, are not showing their intolerance against Chick-Fil-A.

<quoted text>well. Said. Jonesboro is a small minded little backwoods town but no worries. Civilization will eventually catch up with it and it will evolve. Slow like Mississippi in the civil rights days but it WILL happen when the old haters die out and the next generation takes over.
Unfortunately the haters are attacking our children. They are want to bring as many people into their imoral lifestyle. We need the federal marriage admendment to stop all this hate. The American people are tired of the gay attacks. Marriage is one man and one woman.

Wrong - it's not because the opinion differs from mine. It is because the opinion and his actions are actually wrong, mean, hateful, stupid, spiteful, deserving of ridicule. Depriving Americans of their civil rights is not a family value. Conservative spin just won't cut it on this one.
What conservative spin?

There is no spin here. The hateful gays are attacking Chick-Fil-A. Theis idea of tolerance is only tolerance for those that agree with them.

Stop the hate. Support Chick-Fil-A.

It is amazing that the people who complain about intolerance are really more militant and less considerate of other peoples beliefs if they do not agree with them. They want what they want and to hell with what anyone else believes or wants. It is funny when they want something is it a basic human right but other people wants never have the same importance. It is all about the minority group, never about the majority, and yet the until the socialist agenda because popular it was the other way around.

I am a Christian! With that said I do believe that being gay is a sin but so is judgement of others. Chickfila CEO only answered a question about what he believes! He never said he wouldn't hire them or serve them! So he had a right to voice his opinion of his own beliefs! And others have their right! But boycotting a business due to this is stupid! Only thing you would be doing is putting good people out of a job! The CEO will still have money bc he's rich but these hourly employees they don't deserve this! With this economy everyone needs to think! We have more in this world to be concerned about than this!

You're a real peach,

Gabriel Aguiniga, a gay employee at a Chick-fil-A in Colorado, also said the hardest part hasn't been hearing Cathy's comments. Instead, "[it's] constantly having people come up to you and say,'I support your company, because your company hates the gays,'" Aguiniga, 18, wrote in an email. "It really takes a toll on me."

The groups Chick-fil-A gives to include the Family Research Council and Exodus International, according to Equality Matters, an initiative associated with the progressive Watchdog group, Media Matters. The Family Research Council is designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, while Exodus International is a Christian Ministry that has long endorsed ex-gay therapy, a controversial practice of "curing" gay people that mainstream mental health organizations have disavowed.(In recent months, the president of Exodus has tried to distance his group from the idea that gay people can be "cured.")

Went to my local chick fil a at 9:00 this morning and business was booming. The drive thru was almost backed up to the street. We went inside and it took over 20 minutes to get our food. Those chicken biscuits sure were tasty.

Simply. God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve!!!!!!! It's stupid, retarded and simply crazy his words were taken out of context. Now the homo sexuals want to protest!!! That's fine cause they are better outside by the street than inside the Resteraunt.

I'm surprised they had enough chicken for everyone. No telling how many folks didnt even stop because they were so swamped all day long. Pretty much cut out the working people for lunch, as the line was do long, people were having to park at Target and walk over, then stand in line behind at least 100 people. I was going to order 12 sandwiches, and went by 4 different times, but could not wait for hours.
So I'm sure they had a record breaking day due to you libs trying to shame good people out of their freedom of speech.

Live and let live works BOTH ways!

I don't have a problem with gay people, if they want to risk 'possibly' going to hell, then go for it. I'm not concerned. If someone wants to proclaim that they feel marriage should be between man and woman, they have just as much right proclaiming that as gays have a right to proclaim that it should be for same sex.

Love everyone was on at least one of the signs of the protesters, however trying to shut someone up from speaking their personal opinion, and trying to ruin someone's business? That is not love. Hard for others to love folks that are so vindictive and full of spite. My soft feelings for gays have now been swayed a bit over this.

Niceville, Fla.
after a great day of fishing on Choctawhatchee Bay, we went to chick-fil-a.
there were at least 50 cars in the two-lane drive-thru and people were parking across the street to walk in.
standing room only inside and the staff were working hard and being very polite, the restaurant was immaculately clean, even the restrooms.
the food was delicious and fresh, I really enjoyed my first chick-fil-a visit and plan to visit the local outlet often.

What a great turn out and statement. Morality won over indecency. God must be smiling.

Lots of people buying chicken sandwiches.

One question.

Ever heard of "The Family Research Council?"

The Family Research Council spent $25,000 to lobby Congress in support of the "Kill The Gay" bill in Uganda.

It's a lot deeper than one man's right to say ugly things about guys getting married.

It's about corporations who help support MURDER of people for being gay.

Why would any Christian want to be near that.

I am so tired of Christian hate.

Chick Fil A Recipe:

Soak chicken breast in pickle juice (yes, pickle juice), pepper, grill and plop on a bun and top with a pickle.
