No more food stamps for the poor. The Republicans wont tolerate that. There is just too much love and compassion in this country and they intend to put a stop to that.

________
Washington (CNN)-- House Republicans stripped food stamp provisions opposed by conservatives and narrowly passed scaled back legislation on Thursday to overhaul the nation's farm programs.

Democrats chastised the GOP for ignoring initiatives they argue poor Americans need to keep from going hungry.

The vote was 216-208 and no Democrat voted for it. Twelve Republicans opposed the bill.

Debate on the floor was raucous and Democrats several times angrily screamed at Republicans and accused them of dismissing the needs of low income Americans.

Good, if you aren't able to work, you should not be able to eat.

Why were food stamps/SNAP attached to the farm bill? I will never understand the stupidity on the Hill!

And why are food stamps administered under the Dept. of Agriculture? Shouldn't it be under Health and Human Services?

That is so the democraps can get it passed and hide the true cost of feeding those able bodied druggies or hip hoppers who don't want to work.

The Republicans just alieniated the "hungry vote" just like they have practically every other minority.

It was started years ago when the population was leaving the countryside and the rural congressmen needed the city legislator's votes. It's been a screw up every since.

If you feel so strongly about it, why haven't you given any of YOUR money to help those in need?

Because you're an idiot liberal dipshit and liberals never use their own money to support their pet projects, they always want government to take money away from successful people to pay for them.
