I've been there about 5 times. I went to the new side. I always liked the service but there weren't very many friendly people.

The church is a wonderful church. I attend the blended 10:30 service in the main sanctuary, but my teenage kids attend the contemporary service in the new building. We've been to other churches, but keep coming back to Temple.

If you're thinking of joining, or want to get to know people..think about visiting some life groups. They meet at all different times, and there are groups that will fit people of all age, interest, etc.

A lot of times, what people perceive as not friendly, is simply that the church is a big church and it's quite possible you've just never seen them before. Please go to one of the welcome centers, someone will get you information on all we have going on.

I go to the service in the new building (apex).. it's a great church. I haven't been attending for long, but everyone is really friendly. Best church I've been to so far.

Obviously, a church is a church, and any place of worship is good.
However, my family and I were not very pleased with Temple. We attended Easter service and the service just seemed.. sloppy. Like the preacher just threw it together in 15 minutes right before the service and said, "Well, that's good enough." Being Easter, we kind of had higher hopes. Also, the only friendly person there was the person running the daycare. All in all, we were all disappointed. It was just really weird.

Surely you did not attend the same Temple Baptist I went to on Easter, as the service in the main santuary was amazing. The choir did an awsome job.

You didn't go to the same service I did then.

I'm sorry, I thought this website was for opinions. And my opinion was that it was sort of a sloppy service. The people also were not too friendly. I like a church that makes my family and I feel comfortable and welcome, and for me, Temple did not do either of those things.

I wasn't being ugly or mean in any way. There are several services held in the mornings. We must have not attended the same one.

For the other poster, it's located on Stadium next to the fair grounds.

Me and my family are members of Temple Baptist Church and have been for years. Our Pastor Jerry Jolly has retired and our church is now in search of a new Pastor. We are inviting everyone to come and listen to Alan Rodgers, October 11th. He is a gentleman God has sent us for consideration as our new Pastor. Please come and join us during our 9:00 AM service or our 10:30 service. God Bless!

If staff is down, does that mean that Rhonda mcnabb is gone? She was the rudest person I have ever met, and thats saying something! To work for a church and act as she did is awful!! She is rude, hateful and a poor representitive of a churcc
