Obama Signs Law Gutting Insider Trading Regulations For Congress

By: DSWright Tuesday April 16, 2013 7:16 am

Yesterday President Obama signed a law that gutted the reporting requirements originally included in the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act. Before these changes were made the STOCK Act required congressional staffers to disclose their finances to the public to help ensure they were not engaging in corrupt practices.

But on second thought, President Obama and Congress decided that congressional staffers should be able to escape transparency.

President Obama quietly signed legislation Monday that rolled back a provision of the STOCK Act that required high-ranking federal employees to disclose their financial information online.

The White House announced Monday that the president had signed S. 716, which repealed a requirement of the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act requiring the disclosure, which had previously been delayed several times by Congress.

You never heard of this political project to reinstate corruption incentives? Donít be surprised.

Both chambers of Congress quickly ó and near silently ó approved the repeal legislation at the end of last week by unanimous consent, just before heading home to their districts.

Thatís right. Unanimous consent, no one wanted to put their name down as openly supporting corruption while supporting corruption. And now President Obama has signed the bill guaranteeing a more corrupt Washington.

So much for being the most transparent.

So much for Congress. The bill started there, not the White House.

They didn't have to pass it. The blame goes to Congress and Obama, not just Obama. You know how bills become law?

Yeah, but he, being just another politician, and from Chicago no less, signed it.

Obama needs to pay off all of those political favors for himself and the DemocRATs for future campaigns.

Then the criminal kittens calling themselves upper level federal officials give a bullcrap excuse about national security issues if it was disclosed what companies they were investing in. They shouldn't even been investing in companies they government does business with in the first place. If you can't live on the 80K a year and benefits the government/TAX payers pay them then don't be a "professional" politician-gtf out NOW.

The reason the bill passed so easily and stealthily besides the sheeples ignorance and most of the politicians know exactly what goes on including what they and their cronnie friends and colleagues have been doing for decades. They need business as usual as unhindered.

Professional Politics in the United States of America-the biggest unethical and criminal enterprise there is aided and abetted by the likes of mr high ground want to be lame duck President Obama.

The Stock Act revision bill S. 716 was introduced by Senator Harry Reid DemocRAT Nevada without debate or a recorded vote.

Also pushing the bill was RepubliCANT Eric Cantor following findings of the National Academy of Public Administration(hmmm, organization that advocates government and professional politics because that's what public administration is)

The ewwy gooey world of professional US politicians. Organized crime at it's finest.
