What's up with Jonesboro residents blowing their lawn clippings into the street? It looks terrible and makes the street dirty. Why can't they blow it back into their grass? Boggles the mind..

Why are lawn services allowed to do the same thing as well as haul trailers full of clippings down the street blowing that stuff all over the cars in traffic and the streets. Gee, I wonder why our storm drains get clogged. I don't understand why people don't just use mulching mowers.

If you lived in Monette, the Mayor would visit those doing that and make them clean it up.

Y'all are complaining about grass and garbage in the streets and dogs crapping in your yards. You must live in Candlewood. Two cop cars on Cherrywood today, one last night, and friends saw three or four over the weekend. Crazy old bats having sex with their fuzzy dogs on Springwood and some dipstick mounting his hound dog while the little kiddies watch. I moved to a black area and am much happier there.

Just be thankful that someone blowing grass clippings into the street is the most important thing you have to worry about.

Some people have real problems.

When you work hard and make enough money to live in a nice neighborhood you expect your neighbors to keep their yards clean, including the portion in front of their house. If I wanted to live in a crap hole, I wouldn't have gone to college and worked my butt off to get where I am. I guess there is a "blue collar" mentality everywhere these days...

I'm going to propose to the council pass a city ordinance 500$ fine.

A person can worry about nuclear war, pregnancy, famine, worn tires, power ball and a polithera of public and private things and still blow the damn grass clippings back into their own lawn.

You may or may not be joking, but there are street sweepers our tax dollars are paying for that are supposed to sweep the streets clean on a regular basis, grass clippings and trash and all those disgusting cigarette butts that litter every street, parking lot, and sidewalk. That being said, if everyone would be responsible for cleaning up after themselves we wouldn't need the street sweepers, but we all know that's not going to happen. I see some old people sweeping their driveways, walks, and curbs and I see fat lazy bungholes using leaf blowers to blow out their garages and then blow all the trash into the street to blow in their neighbors' yards. Jonesboro has a plethora of cruddy people. Code enforcement can be called, but they've been used as a club for stupid people to try to beat each other to death so much that I don't know if they'll get involved in grass clippings now. At least the grass clippings dry up and blow away. The neanderthals throwing bottles and cans, etc., are the worst. Funny how everyone's been brainwashed about taking care of the environment, not being a "litter bug" and all that for decades are still so trashy. I guess they only pay attention when they are being taught to screw their brains out and spread STDs.

What's the bug deal with it. At least they mow their yard. There are worse things than grass in the streets.

what a great idea. Why don't you figure out something that matters and propose a city ordinance on that.
