Has anybody used the health clinic? Was it worth the time?

A bunch of doctor-wanna-be nurse practitioners...if they wanted to be doctors, they should have gone to medical school.

They have had more schooling than you can ever imagine. You must really be naive.

yes its a good place. if you need more medical care than they can give you they set you up an appointment for whatever you may need. and it does not cost a whole lot.

if you want to go there and are a new patient, make your appointment now, like today, because it will take weeks to get in. but once you are in it won't take as long to schedule appointments. so if you have to be seen about something asap, maybe not a good choice. but if it is something you have already been putting off for months or years then give it a shot. it would also be nice to have a place that, once established as a patient, you can call for assistance. if you need to see a specialist, sometimes they have them come to the clinic and treat you there, or they refer you to their offices. if referred to their offices, you have to pay a bit more, but I had to only pay the lowest fees charged, no "new patient fees" and crap charges like that. I used them for years while I was working part-time jobs or jobs that had no insurance. better than bogging down the local emergency department for non-emergency needs. last time I was there appointments were either $10-15.

check out a site www.arkansas211.org a great site for everyone to know about!
it is a resource directory for the state of arkansas, you can also call "211" in times of need, just like you would 411 for directory assistance for phone numbers. calling the number connects you with what is available in your area, but of course services will vary from area to area. good luck.

Yeah, you know for poor people who don't have health insurance. That kind of place. God bless.

Some of the local churches fund it, and they also get other donations from what I understand. It is a wonderful resourse for those who have no health insurance.

I have a sister who doesn't have health insurance since she lost her job a couple of years ago. She is treated as a patient there, and says she gets just as good if not better care than she did when she had health insurance.

no government funding, so you don't have all the red tape/b.s.
they make good use of what is available in Jonesboro, resources most residents don't know about. They helped me with a lot before I got health insurance.

After moving to JB about a year ago & having no health insurance, I went to the Church Health Center today. I was VERY pleased with their wonderful attitudes & great care that they took in seeing me. The nurse & FNP answered all my questions & never once acted like she wanted to leave (as a lot of docs do). Very nice, patient, and compassionate staff! Will definitely go back as long as I'm able! Very happy with them!

Great place to go if you do not have insurance. My boyfriend goes there and it costs $15, they are good to give you meds if you need them too, and if it something that they have to write a prescription for they really try and give all low cost meds.
