So anyone who disagrees with your opinion on this matter is a dangerous "nut". I would be more concerned about an angry drunk with a gun. Again, why don't we ban gun purchases by people who have multiple DUIs or DIPs? A problem drinker is much more likely to misuse a firearm in anger than a stoner.
Whatever you think of good ol' XD, you'd better not get drunk and attack him, or if you do you'd better hope he's really stoned.

Lord, I like your point of view, We need more people with our sort of thinking, and less and less of those who think this is the right approach to treat recreational drug users. I am strongly against using any poison drugs like heroin, cocaine, meth ,ice, etc....but throwing people in jail over it, isn't ever going to solve any problems, if you haven't noticed, jail isn't much of a deterrent to someone who is addicted to chemical drugs and it surly isn't going to stop people from smoking the sweet leaf either. Back when they tried to outlaw alcohol, it wasn't either.

There was a story recently of a man who beat another man to death. I would be very surprised if alcohol was not a factor in the incident. Maybe if they had burned one together their differences would have been settled peacefully, or they would have forgotten what they were arguing about.
Drunks behave violently, stoners do not.
DUDE, what were we fighting about again ?........ah heck I dunno, hey let's roll another blunt, ok, whatever it was couldn't be to important, yea man, I dunno

Legalize it. If it had been legalize back in the 80's I would have had an easier time buying it for my Mom who was suffering from cancer.

Yea it works great for that, it worked wonders for my father when he was still alive, when he was getting Chemotherapy he couldn't eat, he started to get thin as a rail, I started smoking with him daily and those were the only times he would have an appetite, he started gaining weight, and it seamed to help relax him as well, I know it made his final year with us more bearable that's for sure.....RIP Pop

Just legalize it already. I bet it would decrease the strain on our prisons and jails already. Though I do have to slghtly disagree on one thing, I think that it's not only that they haven't figured out how to tax it, but what would they do with those who are currently incarcerated for possession, distributing, and paraphenailia. These things seem to take forever for the goverment to figure out.

I would say just release them, so they can get back to being productive members of our society....

I have known these two wonderful people for 30 or more years. Don't go judging them until you know the whole story behind the pot they had. People are real quick to judge someone before they know the whole story. When you walk in their shoes and face cancer like they have then you can judge. Until then keep your comments to yourself or find out the real truth behind this wrongful arrest.

Cool thread . Some people realize marijuana is not a drug , it's a plant . A very resourceful plant at that . What has always baffled me is it's only the pot smokers that figure this out . I thought Pot was supposed to kill brain cells .:)

I gotta know just for the sake of curiousity, my grandmother said when she was a teenager that her frends use to smoke corn husks and it made them loopy. Now is this true, and if it is does that mean we are going to have to stop growing corn because it has a "pot like" affect on people?

ROTFLMBO! I am no expert by any means, but it seems to me that there is moonshine that is corn based, so it would not be far fetched to think that smoking it would give you some kind of a buzz. Honestly, I don't know anyone who has smoked corn husk, but I have come to value the words of our elders. You may want to try Google! LOL Thanks for the late night chuckle!!:D

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Libra

Get out and about whenever possible today. You're feeling energized and will want to keep active at every opportunity. Leave the car at home if you can and walk to your destination instead, or have a brisk walk in your lunch-hour. It will be even better if you can take a brief holiday from your usual routine and find some different surroundings for a change.
