No sale is worth cutting my Thanksgiving short or taking time away from family. I'm sure there will be some really good sales on Friday at the stores who have chosen not to make their employees work on this holiday. Shame on you greedy retailers! Next thing you know, they'll be open on Christmas Day.

Not a chance. Black Friday, either.

Nope. Those who make their employees work on this holiday don't deserve my money.

These companies depend on this time of the year to get in the black. The economy is terrible. The employee's need these jobs or they wouldn't work there. No one put a gun to their head to take the job. Many industries work on the Holidays. I guess these businesses can just close. Many are on the verge of that anyways. Then we can have a stronger, bigger, extravagant thriving welfare system in America! Obama wouldn't argue with me on this one ? LOL!

You should give your overtime back to the Company, after all you are for corporate profits first!

What planet do you live on? Do you really think Walmart and the other stores who are open on Thanksgiving are compensating their employees "big time"? They're probably being forced to work. As far as you working, that's not anything new for a truck driver. You knew that when you chose your profession. There are many professions that require working on holidays, but retailers being open on Thanksgiving is something new, and people should boycott the stores who are starting this new Un American trend. What kind of patriot are you anyway?

The workers should have a choice whether to come in on Thanksgiving. Then, if the truly need the money, they can get it.

Do you know this for a fact? That they can choose to come in or not? What if Thanksgiving is a regular scheduled day for them, they can choose to take it off? Who told you this?

I think you misread the Unincorporated post. He stated employees could work if given the choice. Based on the experiences of people that I know that work in retail they have NO choice.

Americans are sheep and right now it is popular to chase these BS Holiday sales. It is similar to catching a new release movie at midnight. You will always have people that make life choices you wouldn't consider for yourself. Hats off to Costco, Home Depot, TJ Maxx for having the leadership to admit that overall holiday sales will not be made or lost on Black Thursday.

Your mother is going to give the term "Black Friday" a new purpose. I plan on pimping her out on Thanksgiving as we'll.

I just put you on the "Death Panel" list you maroon.
The workers should have a choice whether they work on TG or not. Do you believe Walmart gives them choices on their schedules. You don't have a clue!

Read the post. I said if the workers had a choice it would be ok. Not that they have a choice NOW. When they said brain you must have thought they said train and caught one.
