Grant Money. Dave and Jaime got Grant Money because it was time when it was there to get. They admitted that they lobbied for it. If anything is unethical, its the fact they admitted to this. Lobbying, if you know anything about civil government, is the very problem with our government situation and our economy. The bailout funds were passed to lobbiests who get earmarked funds through pay to play politics. Our current legislators are ethically reformed therfore making it harder to get funding. The country as whole is in the same position. To get funds now, there must be planning and positioning of projects. Something Doyle and DB are socio ungifted to get. Borgo has put a plan in place and has looked 20 years ahead of where your eyes are today. That is what good managers do. Idiots plan for today and worry about what happened yesterday. Borgo has also put us in a bettered financial position by hiring 2 great assets in MG and KS in which we are more sustainable and less reliant on grant funding. JD and DB just look for handouts. While they stand there like a homeless man beggin for some change, everyone else passes them by. That is what happened for 12 years prior to Borgo.

They are not lobbyists. Lobbyists get paid for what they do. Our mayor and trustees get paid the same amount of money whether they sit on their butts doing nothing but being yes men or working their butts off trying to get grants. I know for a fact that they go to Springfield on their own time with no additional compensation. Five million dollars is a nice bit of change that they have "begged for". They did it for us so our taxes would not go up any higher than they have to. I personally am grateful for what they have done. As for the Borgo and his staff making us less reliant on state grants, how will all of our projects get paid for? Higher Taxes!
