Police: Arrest made in fake 911 call for body in river

A Wilmington man was arrested after police say he called 911 Sunday night and reported that a man with a name similar to his had jumped into the Kankakee River.

I heard he got into a fight with his girlfriend. Told her he was going to jump off the bridge and kill himself
This isn't the first time he has done stupid stuff.
To bad it was a prank
He should be put away for a long time.

I know for a fact his gf was out of town all day that day. She has nothing to do with it, didn't even know what was going on until after the fact when she got home. So you need to keep her out of it. No they were not fighting. I also know she didn't pay for him to get out, if she was the one who posted bond, it wasn't her money!

Look, I have been really close to his girlfriend for 15yrs. I do know for a fact that she wasnt there. It had nothing to do with her. If any of u knew her u would b ashamed of urself for ever thinking that she needs to sit in jail with him! Everyone makes mistakes, some worse than others. Get over it! Did this mistake effect any of ur lives?! No! Now think about the lives it did effect! Get over the small town gossip and get a grip of ur own lives! Sure sounds like u all need to!!!!!

People just need to mind there own business. The newspaper "Herald News" is false anyways. I guess people have nothin better to do then stick there nose where it doesnt belong. They need to keep the girlfriend out of it. She is a sweet girl and doesnt deserve to get talked about that way!!!!

The people do not need to mind their own business. This was a false report made, and it took taxpayers money to send out the rescue personnel and equipment. It also puts the recuse personnel in danger when they have to get into the river to save someone. This guy made it the peoples business when he made the false report, and as for the girlfriend if she not a part of this then she needs to get away from him ASAP for her own sake.
