Does anyone know why there are new "owners" at the nail place? I went in the other day for a regular appointment and some new people were there running it. They wanted to charge me more than the regular (and posted) price and were rude.

it's a tax dodge. Both the chinese restaurant and the nail place often change management.

I was there right after the change in ownership. New owner "Monique" was incredibly rude, pushing extra services. although the same older lady did my pedicure who was there before, the entire experience was different. Although I do not speak their language I could tell that there was strife between the employees and new owner. I did pay the same price I always have, but the customer before me did have a discrepancy. Reduced quality, bad vibes and an incredibly rude business owner all equals up to less business. Just like everything else, I will be taking my tootsies out of Manhattan for service. It is a shame, I can see Manhattan losing yet another business.

I'd like to talk about how I used to like asian girls, but then discovered that only Americanized asian girls are good. I could also mention how Indian girls are cool. Anyone want to talk?

Will never go again. Very expensive and people are very rude. Had gel nails done and they did not do the cuticles. He said if I want to pay extra they can do the cuticles. I told him if I knew that I would never have had them done there. I suggest you stay away from this rip off place.

The couple that owned the previous place now work at the nail salon in the JCPenny strip mall. The place was pretty nice and the prices were reasonable.
