It's warm again time for the people with the big white RV to block half the road again, and of course the idiot with the blue truck has to bark on the other side of the street to make even less room.

It's cheaper to park it there than in storage. Village provides off street parking. Wait till a child gets run over then something will get done. Thats your 90,000 a year Police Chief hard at work. He can't see it from his chair at the village hall. To busy waiting on marion. Or is that the Public Safety guy, that gets 65,000 Part time? There to busy pointing the finger at each other.

Really, what a idiot you are!If you knew anything at all about our police cheif you would not post such ignorance. rather than posting stupid shit like this he welcomes calls from people too help with their problems. He is not like the last one that borgo had.Iwill say you are correct about tom pahnke, marion gibson being over paid and useless, just like hot head borgo.got a problem with the motor home, call and talk too the cheif.

You are correct I can not see the motorhome from my office chair but I did notice it while driving around the Village last year.
I did bring the concerns of the motorhome being parked on Foxford last year to our Village Board. It was decided by the Village Board that the motorhome was not a serious publice safety issue as Foxford is wide enough to handle it's width. It was also mentioned that the motorhome is parked there for short periods of time. There were also concerns with an ordinance as it would affect more then just the motorhome. Please feel free at any time to contact me with any questions you may have. I feel it is important to make sure correct information is given out.

I think they meant that if a child ran out from behind it , they could get hit. Which makes good sence. Sometimes kids forget to watch.

Thank you for your explanation. Foxford is wider than most roads in our subdivision, however, he parks right at the curve. It's causes traffic stops as only one car can get through at a time and causes an obstruction in vision on a street where lots of kids play. There are also times it is parked there for weeks. If he can afford that big RV he should be able to pay to store it!

Thank you for trying to bring this up with the board. I think it's time the residents take it to the board!

I feel sorry for the poor school buses trying to get through, especially if someone is parked across from the RV.
I COMMEND OUR POLICE CHIEF! He always has an open door policy and yes go to a board meeting and be heard.

Chief Martin your post registered with me as being very provocative. In a good way. Now if you could get Marian Gibson to post using her name that would be something. There are many, many Village citizens that would like to blog back and forth with her over a variety of issues. If she did that, it would be beyong provocative.

I believe in being as transparent as we in government can possibly be. It is only when we are that we are doing our jobs as your public servants. We work for the citizens of Manhattan. I know I may make some decisions that may not be popular with everyone, but I try to make the best decision with all the facts and the best interests of our citizens in mind. I will be happy to explain any decison that I make. I don't mind answering any one's questions at all.

I also believe in being as positive as we in law enforcement can be. I believe that using this blog could be very helpful and informative. I will do my best to always bring a positive response to any question that is put to me. I have my cell number on my business card and answer my cell 24/7, and yes I answer even on vacation. My business card is available at the Police Department, please stop in and meet your Police Chief.

How about a compliment instead of a complaint?

This is not related to the RV, but I wanted to send a big "thank you" to the officer who has been directing traffic outside of Wilson Creek in the morning as children are being taken to school. I'm sure there are things he would rather be doing than standing out in the weather directing traffic, but the difference is tremendous since he has been there. It is much appreciated!
