Ponzi schemeFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

1910 police mugshot of Charles Ponzi, the namesake of the schemeA Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to its investors from their own money or the money paid by subsequent investors, rather than from profit earned by the individual or organization running the operation. Many operators of Ponzi schemes usually entice new investors by offering higher returns than other investments, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent. The perpetuation of the high returns requires an ever-increasing flow of money from new investors to sustain the scheme.[1]

The scheme is named after Charles Ponzi,[2] who became notorious for using the technique in 1920.[3] Ponzi did not invent the scheme (for example, Charles Dickens' 1844 novel Martin Chuzzlewit and 1857 novel Little Dorrit each described such a scheme),[4] but his operation took in so much money that it was the first to become known throughout the United States. Ponzi's original scheme was based on the arbitrage of international reply coupons for postage stamps; however, he soon diverted investors' money to make payments to earlier investors and himself.

Am not with company...don't know. But nice try. Don't know where either. Do have a little on VC crew - financiers and "buildup" experts. They buy a stake (no, we're not having steak at the meeting "Vegas") and "position" company/technology to reach full potential. Looks like PolyBrite has married well. Remain hopeful.

Any idea what the market cap will be and if there will any liquidity/buyers for the stock if this all happens?

So much depends on the roll out (PR/Marketing blitz) and the all-important sales numbers. Who's bought from PolyBrite and how big? Will VC crew be "catalyst" and build demand for PB on open market? Rumors have PB over $1B in pipeline. Is Carl's LED technology recognized for best in breed? Johnson Controls (property mgmt.)says "yes." Who else (purchase orders) is saying "yes?"

Typical IPO opens around $20. VC's typically look for, at least, 4x return on investment. I speculate and remain anxious for shareholder's meeting on the 25th.

Shouldn't The Goeken Group be required to publicly post to the investors that they have worked out this arrangement with The LED Lighting Company and The Catalyst Acquisition Group? I mean the cat is out of the bag if you can read a K8 Form on the government "EDGAR" web site! This why so may investors are angry! There is a definite lack of communication with The Goeken Group when it comes to providing updates, they even said at the last shareholder meeting that they would get better at this. Why do we pay for an investor relations department when there isn't anything being sent to the shareholders? Lou Reed said it best, This is a "Walk on the Wild Side". Rest in peace Lou!

Coordinated stock manipulation by short sellers - who will be buying low and holding through Nov. 8 (quarterly report). Small investors under pressure to panic sell. Reward to those who hold. LaPenta's been very busy building and branding Seesmart & Relume.

There's a lot of LED business out there.

Same old Goeken Group! Some shareholders don't live in Chicago and will need time to make arrangements to get to the meeting. Where and when will this meeting be held? We have not heard anything about the buyout or the upcoming meeting. WTF?

Maybe they just want to surprise us with all of the good news at the upcoming eventing. Or, they don't want us to have tie to digest the info and come to the meeting with questions!
