I love it to, which it why the present state of the school is so saddening and disappointing. The principal is in way over her head. So far this year she has allowed a child to draw a picture of killing a teacher, a child to bully his way in to taking other student lunches, forgot to tell the 8th graders of a place ment test for high school, and the list just keeps growing. In the past these were not missed, but her #1 excuse has and continues to be - oh no one told me. If you tthink that she is so great then why is the school running better while she is off on medical leave. The reason the assistant principal, with years of experience, is running the place. St. Raymond is no place to mentor a rookie. She was the pastor's choice and if you better not disagree with him, on anything. Teachers were told they better not be adding to these lines, because the church will find out. Sorry, as long as it is true we still have the Bill of Rights.

KNOWN SOURCE....HOW ABOUT YOU QUIT YOUR JOB AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE YOU FEEL AS IF YOU ARE BEING LED BY A COMPETENT LEADER???
YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY A COWARD, COMING ON THE INTERNET TO SPREAD PRIVATE INFORMATION ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND STUDENTS. HOW ABOUT YOU ACTUALLY GROW A BACKBONE AND VOICE YOUR CONCERNS TO THE SCHOOL BOARD AND TO THE PRINCIPAL YOU LOVE TO TALK ABOUT INSTEAD OF BEING AN ANONYMOUS POSTER ON THE INTERNET.
PARENTS BEWARE!!! IF YOUR CHILD EVER MESSES UP (AND EVERYONE'S CHILD DOES AT SOME POINT) GOD HELP YOU!!! BECAUSE THEY WILL HAVE NO RIGHTS! ALL CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION WILL BE TALKED ABOUT IN THE TEACHER'S BREAK ROOM AND ON THE INTERNET FOR THE ENTIRE TOWN/PARISH TO SEE!!!!

To all my fellow Teachers, I have come to a decision to leave St. Raymond. I hand picked this school many years ago not because I needed to work but because I wanted to work there. Once we were all friends and lived each other - now we hide in our class rooms fearful of who will tell on us. Once we had open conversation now it's a do it my way or leave attitude. We have our soul which is the greatest sin we could allow.

Lord, God, I thought the school actually killed the thread a few days ago. Alas, I was wrong.

If GB stopped talking so much on this it might just go away. Then the real issues could be addressed.

My wife and I were very pleased to read the announcement of the new Faith Families Program at St. Raymond’s. The announcement came in our child’s bundle of announcements.

The Faith Families Program is designed for students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade.

Each “family” will have about 15 students with no more than 2 from each grade. They will track year-to-year, meeting once a month with a faculty advisor. Each month these “families” will have a faith-filled conversation about the Beatitudes.

The packet included reading material for reinforcement at home.

In addition to enhancing the religious education of the students, a secondary goal of the program is to build stronger connections between the students and the staff. Mentoring, developing friendships, and building community are some major benefits we see in this program.

This is a great idea, and I applaud whoever made this program a reality. I don’t know if this is the result of the priests, the principal, or the new RE director, but as a parent, my wife and I want to thank you.

This is why we want our children in a Catholic school.

Hey Parents, this is a shout call to all St. Ray's Parents to step up and volunteer. We need several Parents to be and be Room Parents for the classrooms. Spend some time with your kids and help out the school. I think we only have a handful so far so all are welcome.

Sorry, I used to volunteer every year at St. Rays. I never expected anything in return, but I did receive more then I cover ever image. The warm feelings, love and appreciation was worth more then I could ever image. Now, I am sorry to say, the feeling is gone, and so is my volunteer time.

Let's see. If we didn't expect anything in return, but got the feeling of love and appreciation, then that was a bonus. So, if we aren't volunteering any longer because we aren't getting those feelings, then I guess we were expecting something in return. So, why aren't we volunteering if we really didn't expect anything in return?

What is it that Jesus said? Oh yeah, judge not lest ye be judged.
Seems a lot of meowing and nastiness on this site, all in the name of Christianity. Shame shame.

Heard that there is a flu bug going around St. Rays. The Principal has been cancelling her meetings because of it. First it was a meeting on the Relgion program and then at the open house. I called the school but never received a call back.

Maybe the health department needs to look in it.

The school sent a letter to parents yesterday. In summary, it says that there has been an increase in absenteeism related to flu. So far there is one confirmed case of Influenza A, which is not the H1N1 swine flu.

The letter explains that they are taking precautions, as perscribed by the CDC and Will County Health Department, to minimize the chance of the disease of spreading. This includes canceling assemblies and other school-wide gatherings.

I believe the school is doing a fine job communicating with parents on this issue. My child received a flu shot yesterday.

This is a nice precautionary measure by the school.

Brad and Groves took them down. They did not want their dirty little secrets getting out. They actually thought they could stop this. Well one blog went down and then this one started, and 2 more started up on other blogging sites. Instead if correcting the problems they tried, unsuccessfully, to silence the truth.

And I applaud them if they were able to get Topix to delete the noxious stuff being written about the school. I hope they uncover the school employee who was bad-talking an employer.

Yep and that's what all the liberals say when faced with the truth.
