Please debate this. Our City of Chicago is a breeding ground for killers. Drug addicted parents are giving birth to children in Chicago at a record pace. Entire generations are being born without dads. Moms who are addicted to drugs, have no education, no morals, are having babies that they don't care about. That they can't handle. They are having babies with multiple different guys who are also on drugs. It is out of control.
Our political system and the media will not discuss this. They won't even bring it up. Shame on the guns they say, Shame on the gangs they say. Why is there not a willingness to discuss the truth? Have they no clue? Are they that stupid?
Please ask Mayor Emanuel to release the stats that state how many of the murders the past year in Chicago were caused by children of a 2 parent household, where the mom and dad are married. Hello? Wake up? It is not about judging the ignorant. It is about Judging the Politicians and the Media. Are they that stupid? Are they that ignorant? I am not a gun lover. But stop blaming guns for the breeding ground of murderers that Chicago is. Stop allowing the politicians, the media, the inner City Churches in Chicago, the Chicago Public Schools to not discuss the truth and to hide behind gun control. It is so stupid. Sorry no other word for it.
This needs to be a number one priority of our country. Think about not only the Murders, think about the rapes, think about the drug crimes, hold ups, the children who are being born into families with no love, no money, drugs, etc. It is a recipe for Murder. Think about the tax dollars that are not generated, that are wasted. Are we so stupid to blame guns and close our eyes. We have let these people of the inner city down. Our politians have enabled them to breed killers. They have promoted this behavior.
Justice for all, including the ignorant who are being enabled by our government, the churches, the schools.

Growing the welfare state, supporting it, and promoting it for the puroose of a vote, breeds this animalistic, non educated, irresponsible behavior and lifestyle. The democrats are responsible for creating this problem!
kind of agree

Nobody will ever state the obvious like you have. Whenever I see some poor family on TV crying because they lost a child to gang violence my heart goes out to them. On the flip side of that I also think that someone has raised a person that is an animal. It starts at home with the parent. Morals are taught.

Actually, on a per capita basis, other cities are far more dangerous, such as Detroit, Baltimore, New Orleans, Oakland, Memphis, Cleveland, Phily, and Kansas City. How are things going, violence-wise, in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, where they love guns? Pretty bad there too. I suppose things appear simple to simple-minded people.

What a comfort. Because the murders are calculated on a per capita basis Chicago is not really that dangerous. You are correct I suppose things appear simple to simple-minded people.

Let them kill each other. They are doing us a favor. They are all a burden on society.

You totally ignored the point. The quote I have for you is, "I suppose things appear difficult to simple minded people". The solutions are simple. But people decide to ignore facts and want to blame other things. I guess it makes them feel better.

Politicians constantly debate, how do we get guns off of the street? They are simple minded people that think things are difficult. Does this sound like the conversation in your home? They need to debate this question. How do we get people who act like animals, who are unable to bring up decent producting members of society, who breed murderers to stop breeding, to turn the tide? Is it so difficult for you to understand that it is bad kids, from non existing families that kill? Or is it to simple for you? Yes, I know there are exceptions to the rule.

The solutions are not simple for people who are thoughtful about it. There are some countries where guns are banned, and there is almost zero gun violence. In other countries where guns are banned, it's the Wild West. Things are simple to someone who has a simple agenda such as promoting guns. They are not simple to people who can see both sides and are thoughtful.

I am not promoting guns. Read. I am promoting our government, our media, we the people, to stop enabling thugs having babies that grow up and kill other people. I hate guns, but you can't blame them for what is going on in America. Blame our lack of leadership, the poor moral fiber of many, don't blame an object. Stop making excuses, A gun without a person of low moral will not murder anyone. I can guarantee you that.

I didn't blame guns or make excuses. Nice straw-man argument, Mr. Rubio. I said it's a complex problem that lacks a simple solution. In fact, blaming guns would be too simple. More guns is likewise a simplistic answer. I think we have a culture of violence in America. What is the best solution? I don't know, and I don't think anyone else does either. And, I don't expect our gridlocked government to do anything about it either way.

. I never suggested Chicago lacks gun violence, nor did I seek to comfort you. I am only saying that if one is going to base an argument on a particular premise, one ought to make sure that premise is factually correct.

When you have stupid politicians that say "they deserve a simple vote" That means a vote against our 2nd Amendment Right. It's not that simple period.....

The politicians actually don't care if you think about it. Its been going on for decades. Its not going to change. They create these welfare ghettos, give amnesty, act like they care and want to help. They care alright, about getting all those votes that they don't have to work hard for. This problem plays a major role in the destruction of our society that is occurring right now.

No constitutional right is absolute. Even the scotus, in its recent 2A rulings, make clear that some restrictions are permissible.

. The Supreme Court makes the final interpretation of the Constitution, and it has held that no right, including the 2A, is absolute. Like it or not.

Chicago should outlaw the carrying of guns. That will help.
