Jeffrey Kuna, 38, of the 25300 block of Federal Circle, Plainfield, was charged with DUI and speeding at Route 126 and Schlapp Road at 3:21 a.m. Sunday, the sheriff’s office said.

Is this the man teaching our children to drive?

Why is he still at school teaching why hasn't he been suspended?
He talks a big game about actions and his rules for the football team but he does not believe them or stand behind them.

So I ask the new Superintendent you spoke about accountability
is this going to be swept under the good old boy rug or will he actually be held ACCOUNTABLE.

Who cares he's human. Let the judicial system punish him. What's next you want his dick stapled to his unemployment check. Everyone makes mistakes, chill. There's people dying out there. Then u post all his personal info on here as if he is a child molester. Leave the guy alone. Ur the type of person that watches tmz to c what every celebrity is doin. Blog about chris brown too while Ur at it.

He is a drunk driver. That is right up there with child molester. Destroying lives one drink at a time. I am very biased about this as I saw my best friend killed by a drunk driver. I watched his body dragged by an idiot who did not even realize he had hit someone. My children are driving on these same roads. I should say he’s just human? He made a mistake? This reasoning is one of the factors that harsher punishments are not given.

Not to mention he is a teacher. His role to educate and all he has accomplished now is showing the kids it is okay to drink and drive. Especially if he has been arrested before.

If this goes to court and he is found guilty in a court of law or he pleads guilty, he should be fired. Period.

Then we could hire a teacher that takes their responsibility seriously when it comes to our kids.

This is the kind of ignorance that keeps our kids form being high achievers. It IS a big deal. Practice what you preach and teach by example.
Maybe, just maybe, if you had been taught properly you would know how to spell and write with capital letters in the right places. Education is a big deal and anyone who drinks, drives, then thinks they can teach kids to drive is an idiot and should be removed from the school. These are the kinds of 'teachers' that give us a bad rap. Most teachers are dedicated and hard working and abide by the rules. Jerks like this, who think that they are above everything and everyone, makes it more difficult for the teachers that care to gain respect and credibility.

Yeah you are right there are people dying everyday.

Actually in 2010 there were an estimated 20,000 people that died due to drunk drivers..
And he is suppose to be teaching by example.
He is only a drivers education teacher.

Maybe if his dick is stapled to his unemployment check maybe just maybe he would learn not to drink to get drunk and drive his car.

Really- Not sure if it is his second but I will look into it.

All I can say is I am really disappointed in the school board for failure to do anything about this. He is responsible for teaching my son to drive and also to help to teach him the responsibility that comes with being able to drive such as driving sober. How could my son or any other student listen to someone who has been arrested for a DUI, let alone two. The fact the school has not suspended him only reinforces the idea to children that "I drove drunk and look nothing happened to me." Why would any of his students heed his advice? Shame on the school and the school board for allowing this kind of example for our kids. What because he is the football coach we should all turn the other way and tell him it's okay? No I don't think his life should be ruined but he has no business teaching if he can't even manage to drive sober. I will be attending the next board meeting in hopes thar our school board, who we elected, responds to this matter and recognizes the ramifications this kind of behavior from a teacher instills in our children.

It is a major concern and should have already been addressed however there is still the notion of due process and while I will not defend Mr. Kuna if he is found guilty of the charge, I do still believe he is entitled to due process. If true, this is a serious issue if he is to continue teaching drivers ed in the district.

As someone else also posted they must allow due process to take its course. Also, there are very strict personnel laws that the school district must follow. You can go to the board meeting but they won't be able to discuss the matter. The person in question has rights as well.

BTW, if you believe a DUI is just cause to remove a teacher then you better start looking through ALL of them. I think you might find more than a few more that have gotten in trouble. Maybe even a few you like. I'm not defending what he did either and he certainly shouldn't be instructing drivers ed ever again if its true. But he is entitled to a fair process.

Just curious how you can teach drivers ed without a valid license? I assume that is a requirement for the position that the unions can do nothing about.

Have a question?? If a parent is arrested for DUI, does that mean their kids are put into the system because the parent is unfit to be a parent???

What "they" are saying is he should be let go from teaching because of this. What he did was wrong, but if a parent (any parent) is charged with DUI should he or she loss their right to be a parent????? Who has the most influence on a kid?? I believe it is the parent not a teacher who may have contact with the kids a hour a day 5 days a week for 8 months. If a parent is charged with DUI doesn't that have MORE of an impact on a kid????? Why is that it always the "teacher" that has to set the example. How about PARENTS?!?!?!?

Taking his kids away!?? Once again it's hard to have an educated conversation in here without the flakes of the world throwing gas on a fire. So many people want to throw rocks in a glass house. He has yet to be found guilty of anything, I believe he is entitled to due process or have we thrown our own constitution out the door here?

It's not about sympathy it is about our constitution! I agree if found guilty he must face the consequences BUT that has not happened yet and I believe he is entitled to the same rights you are given to speak out.
