Is there really a difference between Borgo and Doyle? It seems to me that Doyle was Mayor before and everyone wanted him out badly, in the same fashion that people want Borgo out now. That would be as if we finally got rid of Borgo and then voted him back in 8 years down the road. There was a reason that Doyle was voted out. And even though he was voted out, he has still been on the board forever so what would he really be able to do to help this town that he couldn't do as Mayor and then Trustee and being on the board for the last 12 years? I don't see much of a difference between the two as far as cockiness and bullying. I will be voting for Mike because although he lacks experience in politics, I think that will work in our favor. He's not shady or calculated. He has devoted the last year and a half to going to board meetings and getting knowledge about what our town wants and needs. And at least we would have a mayor that is approachable and cares about what the citizens want for the town. He won me over when I read that he said he would have office hours on Saturday's so anyone would be able to come in talk to him regularly. Now is the time to stand up and actually make a change. Don't be afraid to vote for Mike because you think it will be putting Borgo back in. Everyone just has to get out and vote. A vote for Mike is a vote for all of us to make decisions together on our town.

A man with no experience is not the right way to go. I respect your opinion, you seem like a very nice person who cares about the town. I'm voting for Doyle because he has what it takes to bring this town back up from the dead. And if you follow Mike closely you can see that he is in line with everything Doyle says. I will be voting for James Doyle on the 9th. I will also be at the meet and greet to solidify my decision.

Dear Mikes wife please stay off these polls your own husband at the meet and greet asked you to pipe down.Nice guy but he himself said he would want to get rid of Gibson and in return have to lean on Mr Doyle so the choice is easy Doyle for Mayor.

What a surprise. A Doyle supporter dismissing my opinions and accusing me of being Mike's wife because I am supporting Mike. Do you honestly think that Mike's wife is the only person in the whole town that is going to vote for him? Because I have news for you, she isn't and I know a lot of people that are going to go all in and put all their money on Mike. Because it is much better than the alternatives. You will be surprised by the amount of votes Mike gets. Not everybody will publically come out and say who they support like me but I know of a lot of quiet ones that will NOT vote for Borgo or Doyle because we have all been here long enough to remember it all. Including Lakewood Homes and The Centex SSA.

Once again you don't have a clue on what happen with Lakewood homes it would be nice if people like you who would do research before you give a opinion on something you have no idea about.Mike himself said he would have to ask Mr Doyle about things If he got elected. So Mike right there made up my decision for me Vote for DOYLE.

I agree with need a change! Mike is a down to earth guy. At least you would be able to approach him. Also, everyone who has been a mayor was one for the first time. Give him a chance. He does not have a corruption history behind him.

Will this Mike guy be UNWINDING the SSA imposed upon Brookstone which was built by Centex? Does this Mike guy know whar SSA stands for? If elected, will this Mike guy be relocating his auto repair shop into Manhattan and thus become a local business owner. Will this Mike guy then join the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce? Times up for Google-ing. Bet Mike still doesn't know what SSA is an acronym for. Bet his wife does not know either. Big deal, Saturday hours. Who will be this Mike guy's administrator, Doyle? Holy crap, There is a plan for Mike to get elected and make Doyle his Village Administrator! Is that why he will, quote - unquote lean on Doyle. Now it's Doyle who wants that big pile of cash. VOTE FOR BORGO. KEEP THE INSANITY IN CHECK. Doyle as an administrator WOULD BE WORSE THAN DOYLE AS MAYOR. Major disaster. Oohh this Doyle is trying to be soo slick.

Would anyone who happens to be at one of the taverns next Tuesday night after Doyle loses again & goes ballistic please get a video of it? Of course it will be everybody's else's fault when he loses. It could go viral. At least the video would be a classic in Manhattan.

This Mike guy does belong to the CHAMBER OF COMMERCE!

We already have a body shop in Manhattan! Why dont't you become a local business owner? You chose to live in Brookstone so deal with it. Did Borgo UNWIND the SSA imposed upon Brookstone?
If you vote Borgo, how does that keep the INSANITY in Check? He causes it.

Borgo did not cause the SSA. The Village board that voted on the SSA caused it. But first, delinquent and inadequate notice as required by law was the first step in causing the SSA. And who is it that had a duty to ensure proper notice? It was the Village Clerk, Mattie Becker. Next, under unknown (some may say secret) vote the SSA was passed. The Y's were were then recorded by Mattie Becker. Those remaining in politics that voted Yes are: Beemsterboer, Biscan and Naughton. Now it is proof ThAT the VILLAGE CLERK DID NOT GIVE ADEQUATE AND PROPER NOTICE AND IT IS PROOF that the Village Clerk timely recorded the improper ordinance imposed upon Brookstone. So the first step (which is most important) was neglected but the second step was attended to just nicely. Borgo did a Pontius Pilot on the thing as he had to take no part in it except to call it for a vote of the Board. It is further disgusting that you reconcile the matter by wiping your ass with with your own remarks, "you choose to live in Brookstone, now deal with it". If you are in fact a Doyle OR AN ANDRIEASEAN person, then you are no better that the last crop of politicians this town has had and I will not vote you in so you can perpetuate more awfulness on the citizens of Manhattan.

No way can Borgo blame the Brookstone SSA on Doyle. But the shameful SSA can be blamed on almost all of Doyle's political buds - at the time. You know how political friends can change overnight. And how they can last forever in silence. Shhh. Not much has changed. That is why someone is posting a username: Doyle is as bad as Borgo.
