I have a dog. I am new to the area and have googled several animal clinics to choose from. I could use some help with finding a good vet in the area. Thank you.

Hi Anna, after trying several different vets, I found that Cresthill Cat & Dog Clinic is the best. This is a husband and wife team that truly care about the animals and are fairly priced for their services. Good luck, I hope everything works out for you.

Plainfield is OK but gets awfully crowded, especially on weekends when the humane society is there , they take up most of the room which makes it difficult for those of us with dogs that are not very soical. Also they are kind of expensive.
They have kennel services, after hours clinic and as I mentioned home of the local humane society.

Romeoville clinic seems like it has too many interns working there , so sometimes there is a little confusion on clinic proceedures or where things are, but they are a little easier on the pocket book. Hours did not jive with my schedule but when I did make an appointment they could accomodate me.

I do not know much about the Crest Hill facility ( I actually just found out about them ) so I can not help you there.

Hi Anna, I have 2 baby German Shepards that got brutally raped by a gang of possums last week. I took them to china house where they where able to save one by removing 3 liters of possum sperm. The other one was to damaged and could not hold its on bowels, we had to put him to sleep :( but let me tell you they where able to make me a great lunch with her remains. Mmmmmmm i recommend you take them there.

Anna, I highly recommend Dr. Tom Norris from Gold Medal Vet. He provides in-home vet services which is awesome for us because we have two BIG dogs. Lst year, when our golden retriever got ill very unexpectedly, he took wonderful care of him. We lost the dog to the disease but Dr. Norris was so caring - to our dog and to us. We've known him since he worked at Crest Hill Animal Hospital, where we used to go.

My family and friends have used Dr. Navin and All Pets Hospital on 159th and Read Street just south of Charter One Bank . The staff was quite considerate and Dr. Navin is excellent. His specialty is bulldogs but he and his staff treat all pets with expert attention .All Pets Hospital also has a dog day care and rehab facility on site. He cared for our dog for over 12 years for numerous checkups, vaccinations and 3 surgeries until old age claimed our pets life . Dr. Navin met us at 5am on that day with care and compassion for us and our dog. Based on what I have read here.....there are many fine vets in the area.

Thank you for all the recommendations. My dog has been extremely lethargic lately. I don't take him to the veterinarian normally, so I have none in mind. I am really worried about him and need to find someone quickly.

I'm in need of a good veterinarian. My dog has been extremely sick lately, and I think it's because of his diet. What I'm looking for is a dog dietitian that can help him get back on the right track. http://www.keebovet.com/collections/portable_...
