Well my husband and I contacted this company to replace the shingles and gutters on our house. On Saturday we got certified letter from one of the companies that Four Seasons never paid for the materials and company registered a lien against our home. Did any other residents get similar letter since that company worked on many homes in the area?

As the next Mayor of Crest Hill, I will welcome Four Seasons to our City. We need all the Tax revenue we can get.

Take all your related paperwork and proof you paid to the police station, insist the Police Chief brings the officers of the company up on Theft by Contractor charges. You will see the lien disappear almost immediately.

chancel checks or credit card statement and your quote should be enough.

Did the company that did the lien give you a notice of lien rights within 60 days of the materials arriving at your property? Did they give you a 30 day notice they were going to lien your property? If they didn't do both, you can request a judge vacate the lien. Did the company deliver directly to you?

Spend some time reading over this:

http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ilcs/ilcs3.as...

We had a similar issue a few years ago with a company that went out if business, chief Fitzgerald called them and told hum they would be issuing warrants for there arrests and they faxed over a waiver in a few hours. Fitzgerald was an idiot, but he liked throwing his weight around.

Great spelling, looks like you know "not that much". Normally I would not judge, but your name begs for it.

We recently called Four Seasons for a roof repair (as we had work done by them in the past). We were surprised to see that it is actually an entirely different company. In this case, different is better. Way more professional, responsive, and not to mention outstanding work. After talking to one of the owners, it seems that the new ownership is the next generation in the family.
