He's a perennial. He blooms every two years in the spring whether it is his election or it is Doyle's election. Mutt n Jeff I say. One flowers just before the other and they think together they are a beautiful sight to behold every two years. Like in Holland, Michigan, we should have a bi-annual celebration to these to Manhattan flowers. All the village oldtimers can walk-about admiring their brilliant failures.

Since it is an obvious "Manhattan Mafia" and it don't really matter what asshole we vote for, why even bother doing so?

I've not been here long, but long enough to know that a small group of people run this town, and take turns at screwing it up more. Political tag team action.

Then I see sheep after sheep after sheep, defending the actions of said group of tag team participants. They only get away with what YOU allow them to, and this town will continue the downward spiral as long as YOU let it continue.

So be sure to go vote for the same old crew, then be sure to look around town at all of the wonderful stuff we DON'T and NEVER will have. Last one out of Manhattan, please turn out the lights. Thanks.

Dave is counting on the Doyle brigade to carry him to the finish line. The tide is against Doyle so I'm not sure if there is enough ummpphh for Dave this time. He only won last time by 3 votes. That's as close as you can get.

Wonderful piece. Many know you're right. We will know in 6 days if this town can be saved.

The tide is not against Mr DOYLE it is about to crush Borgo and put him out to sea. And take Lucas and Biscan with him.

If more people went to the board meetings and the board new people cared, yes it WOULD make a difference. I know for a fact Borgo gets real red in the face when he has to face the citizens. Vote NO for Lucas, Biscan and Borgo.

This kind of abuse towards Dave, and jamie is only from borgo bashers. DAVE, JOHN,AND JAMIE have always voted for the best intrest for the people and the village of Manhattan. You don't see thier name's on the two banner's around town. The liar's of this town speak for themselve's they, borgo, luca$$. and biscut, they are the one's for high taxe's and high pay raise's and keeping useless people like tom spanky on board.

If these guys are so proactive as you suggest, then why is Manhattan at least 36 years behind the times?

If you think Manhattan is so far behind what was the reason for moving here?(Not meant in a negative way).
Dave has always asked questions of the Mayor and other trustees so that people can actually understand what is going on, instead of getting lost in political garbage. Also, if we get a convention center that will be a big revenue help. Other busisness's will come. We do not need Borgo to scare them away. Dave had the connections and will see it through.

You know Beemsterboer made it quite clear that he can hold a grudge a real long time. He lashed out at Borgo in his Meet the Candidates speech. Ease up there Dave as I am recommending you for re-election. Funniest part about that Candidates event; Tom Doyle talking about the 1972 oil embargo. What the flip? One third of the homeowners in town were not even yet born in 1972 and a Doyle wants to travel on the way-back machine to 1972. How the freak can that old man help this town, how? See Dave, going over ancient history can hurt you and not necessarily help you. Let the convention thing go already. On to bigger and better things.

I thought a convention center is a bigger and better thing. New jobs and if we don't do it someone else will.
Manhattan can get the tax revenue instead of someone else. This seems to be what everyone wants INDUSTRY.

Theres more than spanky kept on board that doesn't need to be for the past several years. at least(4) Borgo stated that 8 postions where eliminated. Some of those needed to stay,Some more or less pushed out.

A point well made, but Dave did say that the convention center developers are gone forever. So you want to hash out what can not be? I'm still voting Beemsterboer even if he is still hanging on to this one. To me it is just pointless. Find a new mark, and go with that.
