I remember it! I had a co-worker who lived in Plainfield and her entire house was gone - completely destroyed. They ended up rebuilding, though, and her new home was really nice. Their insurance company did right by them. Our company threw her family a shower and she got all new essential items, like a toaster, coffee maker, etc.

I've posted this footage a few places, but there may be a few who haven't seen it. I shot it two days after the tornado hit as I walked around to visit various friends and to assist in clean-up.

I remember that day and the following week very well. I volenteered for the Red Cross for the week. All the damage and devistation inspired me to become a weather spotter. I took my first class in the spring of 1991 and have been current ever since. My heart goes out to the victims, survivors, and their families.

Our cross-country team was scheduled to be in Plainfield when the tornado hit, fortunately for us there was a delay due to one of the male teammates needing to drop a duce and ended up saving the entire team from being smack in the middle of the storm. Still to this day we thank that teammate. Little gross, but everything happens for a reason. Even #2.

Daily Horoscope for February 5

Aquarius

There may be a little push and pull between home and work as the Sun in your sign clashes with the Moon. Things seem a little out of joint. Uranus and Pluto are under pressure, so work or obligations may mitigate your efforts. People in the neighborhood ask a lot of you, but don't be too amenable. Know the right time to say 'no'.
