Man sentenced to 36 years for sexually assaulting 5-year-old girl

A suburban Chicago judge has sentenced a Plainfield man to 36 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl.

I agree with you 100% my father is a registered sex offender & it really woke me up to the world and the fact that you never know who is capable of such a crime. He was the last person in the world who I thought would do something like that.
I also believe they never rehabilitate and you see time & time again when these men & woman are released from prison they do it again to someone else.
From time to time I will also look up the offender list in our area & I will see some that don't have addresses & are marked homeless, this is wrong! If these people are going to be free to walk around in the outside world again & don't have a valid they should be placed back in jail till they do. That is not acceptable to me, not one bit

Not sure what the dr has to do with this, is he a predator? Either way, I am so on board with cruel and unusual punishment for sickos. I can't believe that they can't stop themselves from hurting someone. You can't really ever get over being victimized and therefor they shouldn't get over what they did. I am so glad we can look these things up on the net now, to see who is in our neighborhood. Its not enough though, it should be posted on a sign in the front yard. Its serious and it should be treated as so.

THE REASON THEY ARE HOMELESS IS THIS FUCKING LIST, YOU DUMB BITCH.

NO ONE WILL HIRE ANYONE ON THE LIST VERY READILY SO THEY ROT.

Economist calls American sex offender laws "draconian" and "ineffective". University after university study shows the same.

Megan's Law should at most require only the registration of vicious felons like the man who actually murdered Megan Kanka. Rather than requiring every sex offender to register, Megan's Law should required sexual ethics training in schools and behavior modification therapy for those convicted of serious sexual offenses, as well as extended counseling or life-long counseling. Megan's Law will do no good because it won't stop the sexual psychopath who is bent on doing harm to children and does nothing to get at the root of the problem. Psychopaths listen to the law? Do psycos care about being labled? DUH. Additionally, all anyone has to do is simply not register or use a false address with little fear of being found. It's the decent person, who obeys the law, and poses little risk that gets stigmatize by being known to the community and suffers the most.

Megans Law made no difference between the past number of arrests and the present number of arrests.

The study found, very importantly, THAT ALMOST EVERY ATTACK ON A CHILD IS PERFORMED BY AN UNCAUGHT SEX OFFENDER NOT ON THE LIST AND NEVER BEEN INCARCERATED.

So, LONG STORY SHORT, IGNORANT ANGRY FOLKS: JAIL AND THE LIST DO NOTHING. THIS HAS BEEN CONTESTED, RETESTED AND TESTED OVER AND OVER. THE RESULTS ARE THE SAME EVERY TIME. HIT GOOGLE AND FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF.
