Before you judge Doyle, keep in mind Jamie, Dave, and john voted no on raise's ,bonus's.Also keep in mind Borgo's the one to break the vote by voting yes to pass the vote,''WAS THIS SMART''?? This should show you people he's all for what he want's for our town and not for the people who live and support our town.Borgo and his bandit's are all for thier pocket's and not what's good for a budget to profit our town.I WOULD LIKE TO THANK Jamie,Dave and John for voting no, GOOD LOOKING OUT. Wake up people Borgo's got to go. Vote no on Borgo an his cloudy vision. Naughton, and Lucus, shame on you two.Your nothing but head shaker's for Borgo, you need to think on your own.I say no to you two also.Get with it or get out.

He also voted no to Walgreens and owns the vacant strip mall not allowing any businesses to move in. He is only in it for the money and could care a less about what anyone in the town desires.

i'm troubled too. the administrative salaries far exceed cost per resident and manhattan is the talk of the political world in all will county. but i see it this way; it was manhattan's old gaurd that voted and put naughton back at the trustee's table. you knew better. shame on you. the fact is, no naughton, no borgo will. you who voted for naughton, you blew it. get smart - fast, or suffer some more.

I am stunned. How on earth could they vote pay raises for anyone in this economy? Where are they getting the money to pay for it? I mean, we already have a "temporary" tax on our utilities. They should be letting people go!

Have you seen the number of empty houses or people trying to move? Go online and check it out; things are bad out there and for them to give anyone pay raises is despicable. Does anyone know what percentage raise they received?

It seems strange to me that Borgo bought the strip mall considering he doesn't care about the businesses in this town and has discouraged their coming here.

I predict that the strip mall may actually break Borgo. Good luck Billy.

And I like Fritz's. Borgo you jag. Quit harrassing Jason. Or maybe the health department will come by and close down your built-in swimming pool. I'm surprised you haven't drowned in that pool. I heard it's hard for rats to stay afloat in clorinated water.

So he owns the vacant strip mall.? But he wants no businesses in it? Do you realize how stupid that sounds?

I believe he bought the North part, not the whole thing. Kinda where there would have been another bank, it's like the north 1/4.
I think there a sign for rent there.

Im not saying he does or doesn't own the stripmall. Im just saying that it makes no sense that he would buy a stripmall and not want to rent out the space. People make the dumbest statements on here.

Technically walked; but after the endless back n forth over which way to divert the water run-off and you gotta build a sidewalk that leads to my rental properties...well it was the prudent thing for the Walgreens developer to do. However, it is also as clear as the Great Barrier reef, Walgreens was summarily dismissed in favor of Doc's. And that benefited Walsh. So much benefit, the only local hired was V. Cooper Vorreyer. Your Township Clerk. That's it...one job was derived from the endeavor and that job went to someone engaged in politics. If this type of baloney keeps up it will be another hundred years before Manhattan becomes prosperous.

I've also heard that he made it hard for Walgreens to do business in Manhattan. So, while they did walk away, it was because Manhattan wasn't a town that was friendly to businesses ... something I've heard from other business owners in town firsthand.

You so right. I've been thinking, why would Borgo take that posture? Certainly it would be a positive in the marketing of his rental properties to be able to say the certain retailers were within walking distance of his product. BP gas, Berkots Foods, Walgreens Pharmacy, a health club and so on. Huh, it's literally dumbfounding.

Not a Borgo fan but no body voted Walgreens down, they did walk away. The site was the former bank, which they would have to been torn down. Needing more property from the association, didn't work out and the landscaping the Village wanted was un heard of. And lets not forget the extre offsite improvements they keep asking for. Seems like they keept asking for more and Walgreens walked.Doc's then came around, I don't blame Walsh keeping his strip mall full. Look at the other commercial building that are empty.Thery look good don't they?

This sigle event shows why an entire cleaning out should be done at the Village Hall. In April vote out every incumbent possible.
