Just wondering this started under Baby Bush! If so, where was Rand Paul then? It is a good idea!

I just fell off my chair! Did I hear you correctly? You support this lawsuit?
Rand Paul is a crackpot. However; he is right on this one. The Obama Administration is wrong on this.
Now are you going to address the point that this policy started under George W Bush or are you going to pretend Republicans didn't have anything to do with it?

Bush signed an executive order violating the Constitution. We can't tolerate that from any president. There are checks and balances in our system to protect us from this tyranny, where one person can change law and dictate what they like or don't like and we have to accept it. It's dangerous.....and it can't be tolerated! Obama is too the extreme though on this! Obama is dangerous to America! Like no other we have seen......at least in my time!
The Bush EO's related to concerns surveillance of persons within the United States during the collection of allegedly foreign intelligence. Problem was that the person on the other end could have been a US citizen. Bush stopped the "warrantless" wiretapping program back in 2006 or 2007. Related, but a different issue. The FISA court currently is required to issue warrants for all information the Govt wants to gather. The issue under Obama has become if one warrant (say issued for ATT data) can be used to gather ALL of the ATT data containing information on millions of people, or just for one "wire tap". Paul is right is suing to ensure that each warrant only apply to one individual. At least that is how I understand it. Very complicated issue. I may be converging issues as well but I think I'm with the Libertarian on this one I think.

You almost make sense until you go on with your Obama Derangement Syndrome. He is certainly wrong on this issue though. He is dead wrong on authorizing drone strikes on American citizens as well.
Obama is hardly extreme on anything.....unfortunately. You get yourself all worked up for nothing.

professor, unlike you, Komrade Obama is a credentialed, bona fide constitutional scholar, with an advanced degree from a prestigious Ivy League school. You do not. So there!!!!!
He knows better than you what he can and cannot as regards legality. He is for the middle class, you are for the baronial theocrats and plutocracy.
As for surveillance, of course! everybody snoops. right now the Red Army (China) is in your computer..it's 2013, not 1813, keep that in mind. As for drone strikes, of course!!! better than carpet bombing with a wing of B 52s or a boots on the ground expeditionary force. We use the available technology.
History is already looking favourably upon CINC Obama, everybody knows of the obstructionism, traitorous behaviour during a time of war. Shameful, the Tea Party gets thrown out on their imbecilic asses 11 4 2014.

Bullfeathers!! I love this guy, doubled the stock market, chopped off bin ladens head all with tea party onstructionism. he's already establishd himself nobly like TR or FDR, a little right of center, your problem is you don't know the difference between Karl Marxism and Groucho Marxism, either of which Komrade Obama ain't. You got a whole new critter here, something your outdated and myopic worldview can't comprehend. With the Tea Party in charge we would be back to Baronial Feudalism. God forbid!!!!
As for my patriotism, my love of country and my fellow citizens, my patriotism exceeds the collective Tea Partys patriotism by a factor of a million. the sniveling, yellow bellied gutter snipes want to either secede or have a civil war, both of which would harm this nation, as it is they lurkas a 5th column parasitic vampire. meh!!!!!
