At 3:50pm today, a loud firework went off in Lockport. I'm trying to pinpoint the location of the people lighting off these really loud ones. It's not very neighborly and I am sure there are people who live around this moron who are afraid to take action. Probably because he is a pompous, arrogant bully. I'm not afraid of bullies and am happy to confront these people.

Yeah, good luck with pinpointing it down. I live on the west side of Grandview and some idiot at either 917 or 919 Valley Lane will blow one off periodically. It's frustrating because I'll get my daughter down for her nap and then BOOM and I have to start all over again. I know there is a house in the 800 block of 11th street that is also blowing off some loud ones. That affected my child's bedtime the other night. Residents should be able to respect one another enough not to blow off these fireworks in town. It's really disrespectful to your neighbor. Anyway, I hope these two leads help you pinpoint it.

Filthy stuff, demeaning women, and a mother. Guess who this is? We know already.

Hope your babies are not sleeping. The police should put an end to these outrageous fireworks in this town with the time as it is. Call you alderman: good luck with that one!

You know ordinances and laws mean nothing. The only exemption is the political friends. We are all waiting, waiting, waiting to see the parkways cleared in this town. Took a ride to the other towns who care about their citizens and they have gone all out to clean it up. Not here, it cost too much! It is about time for the fireworks to start again, isn't it? It must be the same people. They do not care about rules or regulations. They just make everyone listen to it. Beware on the fourth of July.

Your really hit the nail on the head. Some people don't care about rules and regulations. They only care about their own, personal self-gratification. Would they ever stop to think that someone's babies might be taking a nap? Would they ever stop to think that it is 10:30pm and someone may be trying to sleep because he has to get up at 3:00am to drive a truck downstate for work? No. These people don't care... which is exactly why I don't care if I call the police on them. I might go out patrolling tonight to help find the source of some of these fireworks and call them in.

The people that complain about fireworks are the same people that warm up their Harley all morning. Fireworks are as annoying as all noise is. The same ones that walk their dogs that sh it all over yards and bark if the wind blows. The fireworks will pass, the dogs will be eaten at Oriental eateries and the Harley drivers will die in a fiery death. Let us all drink to really annoying whiners and the noisy rude people that we wish didn't exist. Some things you just can't control. Welcome to America.

I do not own a Harley nor do I have small children but it is either against the law or it isn't. Someone said on here, no ordinances/laws are kept and this is one, Fourth of July or not, that is downright dangerous. It is dangerous for the people setting them off and it is dangerous due to the heat and dryness of everything. I am not a party pooper and by the way, I do not have a dog. Oh well, no sleep tonight again! The city should have had their fireworks on the fourth of July, was gives? I guess they don't do things that are normal and the people know what they are doing. It is crazy.

No. But, I did go out for a drive and I did make a couple of calls on people. Felt good to turn in some lawbreakers.

I've watched them ignore dangerous things. I've always figured the best place to commit a crime in this town is next to a cop. They will literally turn their heads the other way and act like they are deaf.

Right, you have a right, just like Kelly Turner did in his letter, to write your thoughts. Wouldn't they love it if we did not. I know we, the grass roots organization for honest government once again, will win at election time. Keep doing the right thing and keep writing your thoughts about what is happening and what is not!

I hug my child everyday and am raising him to not be an inconsiderate member of society. This town provides plenty of good examples of inconsideration and disrespect!

Get a life let the responsible people enjoy this holiday . There are way bigger issues in this city to worry about than a few fireworks . You are sadly mistaken and wasting your time if you think your whining and sorry ass complaints are going to stop the fireworks that have been going on for years and years ! Quit bitching you fool !

This is what the rule of law means to our city government elected official. Quite disturbing. We are not surprised tho, as we knew it all the time.
