I also worked for Parsec for almost 2yrs. Worst job Ive had. Place is ran by a bunch of idiots ad asholes. One night during the "safety meeting" manager Dominick Tramino tells the guys "this is the best its gonna get for you high school dropouts and get people." They hire anybody, don't give proper training, union ain't worth shit and nobody knows where the union dues go. It was good for the experience of being around tains but thats about it. Leaving there and applying at a class 1 railroad was th best move I could've made.

Me personally, I say man up and stop gossiping on the web like girls do on Facebook. If any of you are man enough to call out names here, be man enough to say it in person. As far as working for Parsec, any job is what you make it. If you're loading trains or flipping burgers, there are protocols to follow. I'm pretty sure most of those individuals that are crying here are the ones who stayed in trouble and they just got tired of your crap and let you go. NOBODY and I mean absolutely NO ONE gets fired on 1st offenses on ANYTHING unless it was deemed illegal, or deliberately reckless. This is the easiest job I ever had! All you have to do is basically come to work and stay safe. How do you mess that up? The 2 A's are what gets people fired here.... "ACCIDENTS and ATTENDANCE". And last time I checked, NO employer wants a liability who doesn't show up to work. As far as the union goes, that's also "what you make it". Perfect example, you have so-called union brothers talking crap (anonymously like cowards) on this website about other union brothers. And with that said, NO union can change the character traits of any individual. So for all you crybabies complaining about how messed up the job is, make sure you include in your pointless rants that most employees there are getting paid $19.15hr, medical benefits, 401K & severance plans, 4 weeks vacation, 5 sick days, 5 personal days, and all you can eat overtime when you need it. Not to mention that you get 7 un-excused no questions asked absences, and God knows how many tardies and early quits they allow in a 9 month period. And people still manage to screw that up. Keep it real and get a clue losers!
