This afternoon I heard from a current student that social studies teacher Mr. Burnett has passed. Is this so? If it is would someone please pass along information about a service for him- I would like to attend to say goodbye.
Thank you.

I've heard this also. He was my favorite teacher. I would love to pay my respects.

A post from the LTHS Facebook has been made- he did pass this afternoon. It's so sad- he was a really great man. I guess I would check the LTHS Facebook page for any updates regarding a service. Such a sad day for the Porters.

I know, I feel so terrible for his family. He always had the biggest smile when he spoke of them. I'm sure he's looking down and keeping his loved ones safe.

My deepest sympathy to Tom and his entire family. Tom was a classmate of mine since 3rd grade at Taft Elementary.

Tommy was my cousin and I only saw this by trying to keep up with my family as I wasn't able to make the trip. I know the entire family appreciates everyone's thoughts and prayers. He was an amazing person and will be very dearly missed...

It is for an education fund for his 2 boys that were left behind, ages 14 & 16.
