Just a quick question for ALL of the city council. If the water quality is great with the exception of a "few" parts of town. Why are you drinking bottled water at the meetings?

Sorry not a council member, but my guess would be the downtown area would be one of those "few" parts of town. LOL

There's a HUGE problem with that (that most people ignore). Lockport Heights and Bonnie Bray get Lockport water but they do not pay property taxes to Lockport. LH and BB only pay via their water bills. So if we lower water bills and use property tax money, essentially Lockport residents are subsidizing low water rates for LH and BB residents.
This is exactly why an independent arbitrator had to agree to increased water rates. After weighing the evidence this INDEPENDENT, professional arbitrator agreed to our current rate schedule.
I know our current politicians (especially the Majority) try to muddy these waters, but it's pretty simple. If we lower our water rates we will need property tax $ or we are gambling on tap-on fees to increase dramatically to pay for our water system.
I noticed you still have not responded to facts. So now we all know, you to be either one of the 4 from the old majority, or one of there lapdogs trying to spin away the real issues. Have a great day.

Try another name and town for your next reply.

One last thing, do you even follow the water situation. Don't you know that the water bill should be lower, since according to the majority and Robinson Engineering, it was a 29 mil mistake and the only thing needed to be done was close wells 5&8.

Naturally until after the election, then 30 mil worth of work and more will be needed, then they would have claimed how all this work was being done without having to raise water rates.

I'd like to know where my water bill is? It's the 7th and haven't rec'd it and it is due by the 15th? Online banking takes five (5) BUSINESS days to process.

NO. He's also not going to ignore the many water and sewer issues in town. By the way Turner is not going to lower them either. To fix the problems there has to be a revenue source. Until we get development, which Turner also will not achieve, we the users have to be the source. One other tidbit. All other towns our size in this area pay as much if not much more than we do. It's fact
WOW! streit's mailer says a promise of lower water rates?

In turners mailer it states the high school was considering drilling their own well. I have read the minutes from all last years school board meetings. In those documents it does not mention drilling a new well at all. Either he is lying or our school board that likes to issue tax levies, whether needed or not, has been talking about this under the cloak of executive session. The only way he could have heard about this is from his troll that is running for alderperson in 3rd ward and still on the school board.

If the high school drilled their own well, so what? Does the high school drilling a well for themselves improve one inch of water main in town? Does it improve one inch of sewer? Does it lay down one foot of new water main in the downtown?

Once again Turner is making no sense at all.

He is fed his information by his surrogates whom he hopes make it onto the city council so he can once again control the taxpayers money and do nothing with it but give it to his friends. We will have more studies and more studies. You have a choice people: the good...Steve or the bad, ugly....his opponent. you have a choice people: do you want your town to get development...Steve or the you do not want development....his opponent. Follow up with the men who are degreed professionals: Kris Capadona and Jason VanderMeer and Darren Deskin. Think about it...do you like where we are right now? Or do you want to be like our surrounding towns and have stores and restaurants and fine dining and good roads and water resolutions. In the years they have been on there and IN CONTROL nothing has happened except your money has gone away. Better days are ahead with Steve!

One other thing, I believe they get there water from there own area, those wells are in their district. So in a sense, we are getting our water from LH and BB, thru their water mains as well. Just a FYI.
the water system is lockport,LH and BB paid a FLAT rate that was the problem
