Personally, I wouldn't go near Borgo with a ten foot pole. And I wouldn't go near Doyle with a twenty foot pole. Make it a fifty foot pole.

I am a Manhattan resident of 20 yrs and grew up in New Lenox. I like Manhattan as it reminds me of New Lenox when I was growing up...pre big-box stores, strip malls, traffic and some outsiders' "vision" for what it has turned into. In reading comments about Manhattan it seems that everyone just wants to bitch about how much they hate it, can't wait to get out, it sucks, complain about the entire govermental system etc. etc. etc. I have a question for everyone with this mindset. If u don't like the past or current Manhattan, why the hell did u move your ass out here? I would believe common sense would imply u move to a community because U like it. Yet the attitude seems to be "I guess I'll move there if I have to but there are going to have to be some changes" Quit your bitching and move if U don't like it and don't ruin it for everyone that does not have "issues" with everything about the town. You'll end up moving in a few years anyway as your "vision" for Manhattan will turn it into the very place U moved here from....
Come over and buy my now underpriced house and Im gone this weekend.... THIS TOWN SUCKS.

Borgo should go, but now is NOT THE TIME. Just elect a board that will not give him any power and keep him in check. Make him clean up his own mess' for the NEXT MAYOR IN 2017. Don't make the same mistake Bush did; running into IRAQ and blowing it all up over spite. In the end it was'nt effective and left greater problems to resolve. The very same could happen here. When you have got poison ivy you don't scratch the itch. You treat it over the long term with the proper ointment.

<quoted text>You are soooo right. I grew up in New Lenox also, Cannot stand to go there now. Too crowded, too much traffic, etc. I love Manhattan. Yes, it has problems but doesn't every town. I sometimes wish we had a Target, Walmart, etc, but then we would have the traffic and etc. I am totally happy living in this little backwards town. Don't like it, please move...
it's only 15-20 minutes away. And if most people work "outside"of town they can stop on their way back into town at Walmart (sad! iPhone auto capitalized Walmart !) target, etc. I agree basically

Since we are bitching, I have a bitch. What the hell is up with naming shit after New York all over town? "Time Square"??? It's a TRIANGLE! "Central Park"??? It's not even in the middle of town!
We should start calling the subdivisions Burroughs, and rename them Queens, Brooklyn, etc,and dig a moat around Foxford, and call it Staten Island.
Also we should all start talking with New York accents. Call each other Mooks, and say git out of here a lot.

I agree that Borgo should stay in to clean up his mess. NOW IS THE TIME to also let Doyle know he is forever finished for elective office. Last two years for Doyle and the last four years for Borgo. These two chumps from here on out can volunteer at all the frivilous events where there will be no real consequences over what they do. Close the book on Doyle and Borgo by phasing them out.

That makes no sense. Why give someone who has proven himself to be incompetent and unethical a chance to "clean up his mess"? No way.

I'll agree with unethical, but not incompetent. And Doyle will escalate the spiraling downward. You heard it here first just in case Doyle pulls off a victory.

again ELF your an idiot.. at least DOYLE won't have his foot on the gas... BORGO is utterly stupid and literally goes against the people of this town. If it wasn't for so many ill informed residents he would have been defeated last time.
