Patch says they were in New Lenox. Where have these people been. They are ALL OVER our town. And we see them every night around beechcraft and beech. They are all over that field off of haven and nelson.

You people should be more worried about the blacks and meth ridden whites creeping around New Lenox looking for trouble than us coyotes.

I have lived in New Lenox for a long time. Long before they started turning farm fields into subdivisions, the coyotes were here first. People moved into their habitat.

Good Question friend. Seems they only want us to know the not so bad stuff. Heard rummor the other day of 2 more kids dying in town.
This new person that is wrighting the patch is not good at all I would rather see Seawall come back.

Does anyone know the names of the 2 kids that passed? Or what happened? Let's do our own writing on here. The hell with the patch. They don't report the stories that matter. They probably wrote this story to protect the soon to be endangered coyote. The left wingers will want you to move out so the coyote can wander freely.

Not really. I think we should stop our encroachment where it is right now and not shoot harm coyotes for coming into contact with us when it is us who have initiated the contact by removing much of their natural habitat.

There is a serious drug problem in NL. I was proud to live here but am realizing my son's friends are into bad things. My son is getting dragged in and it seems like every teen in NL is into bad things, girls, guys, athletes, kids at youth group, it's everywhere! No one is giving this enough attention!

Forget coyotes, how do we fight against drugs here?

There are drugs everywhere. There is nowhere to move to that will be different. Gangs go into neighboring towns to sell, kids in affluent neighborhoods have easy access to money. Parents need to be parents first and friends second when to comes to these types of issues.

And yes there are coyotes in NL. That must be really surprising, considering that until only 15 years ago most of the town was still farms, creeks and fields with ample food (possum, mice, birds) for the coyotes.

The Patch has gone downhill since Sewell left. The new editor doesn't seem interested in reporting real news. If there is a teen with a joint she is all over it. If the mayor is double, triple, quadruple dipping (whatever it is these days) it doesn't get reported until it has been out for weeks and reported on by other news sources. It took her over a week to report the violent home invasion that was already reported in the Herald. Bottom line is read The Patch for fluff and tweens getting into trouble stories. You want to know about home invasions and hard drugs look to other news sources.

Just go hang out at the Lions Den parking lot. Not too obvious!

I have noticed a decline or overall absence of possums and raccoons in the last 2-3 years where I live, in the middle of town. we are neck deep in squirrels and chipmunks thou. I think i read somewhere that the coyotes are going further out into farm country and forcing the foxes into urban areas.
