Obama has maxed out our credit cards. He is desperately looking for more credit from the American people to continue his spending spree. I say stop this addict. The government needs to be put in default and have their credit rating dropped. Is that not the prescription for me & you?

the credit cards were pretty much full when he took office. I am not pro Obama, quite the opposite. However this is not just an Obama issue. This is lack of courage and leadership at both the Executive and Legislative levels.

If that's the case, they why would Obama spend six trillion dollars in four years, and is looking to spend more than that the next four years? IMO, TO DESTROY AMERICA!

This is easily fixed.
Step 1. Set up copying machine.
Step 2. Scan 100 dollar bill.
Step 3. Get lots and lots of paper.
Step 4. Aim copy machine out window.
Step 5. Let er rip!

Now I know we are in trouble. Don't sweat it. OBAMA will just declare another executive order to raise it. He is good at that!

It may have escaped your notice, but Article I, clause 1 of the Constitution says, "All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with amendments as on other Bills."

They seemed to anticipate a pay as you go system, which did not take Grover Norquist, the Bush/Cheney administration, or Republican ascendancy in the Congress from 1995 to 2007 into account.

The debt ceiling does not allow the debt to rise. That is done by the Congress as they approve spending, be it on or off budget. What the misnamed, and misbegotten debt ceiling does is to allow the government to continue to pay the debt that it has already run up.

Amendment XIV, Section 4, clause 1 states, "The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned." But questioning the validity of that debt, authorized by law, is exactly what the requirement for additional legislation to pay it is doing. That is to say that the debt ceiling is unconstitutional.

Obama's contribution to budget deficits is contained in simply signing the legislation that the Congress has approved. Other than that, his influence lies entirely in his powers of persuasion over the Congress.

If you are put out about spending, take it out on your Congressman, who, until Wednesday, is Adam Kinzinger, Republican of the 11th Congressional District of Illinois.

It may have escaped you that Obama does not care about our constitution. He actually despises it. He loved executive orders. Obama stated "He Wishes He Could Impose His Will On Congress"

It was George W. Bush who said that he'd rather be a dictator. But as long as you're in the grip of teatard non-specific slander disease, perhaps you would be good enough to cite specific examples of unconstitutional behavior on the part of the President. Then you can explain how it is that your seditious brethren missed an opportunity to bring impeachable charges as a result of that behavior. I'll give you extra points if you can make that reply even semi-plausible.

Oops! That first citation should read Article I, Section 7, clause 1, for those who are checking.

For Pete's sake. Realize this is a spending problem created by BOTH parties. Hey! Guess what? We borrowed ANOTHER 4 billion dollars today! What are you going to do about this?

Johnny, put the booze away, you're sounding like an idiot again.

UNI, as usual, you are right on the mark. Why Obama refuses to cut spending I'll never understand. Increasing spending as he plans, is even more confusing to me. These pro-Obama folks out here refuse to realize that Obama is screwing them & their children for decades to come. I don't know how they can't see that.

Hey, UNI said both parties. Yet you say he's right on the mark and then rant on about Obama and don't mention the Republicans. Did John Sanchez's post go over your head? Damn you're dumb.

Its not all Republicans. That's why Boehner could not pass his plan. There are many good hard working Republicans in office and in the private sector. Remember, without us the deadbeat scumbags would starve to death! The only entitlements they should be receiving is a swift kick in the butt to go find a job!

Would you rather be right, or rather be successful?

Give aways are an expense, growing Government is an expense, entitlements gone-wild is an expense, 100% of our revenue comes from the private sector. Our taxs are outrageous now, and will be back breaking soon. Like UNI say's, we borrow $4B a day today & spend it! Unless we reduce spending now, there is only one result.

It's not lowering SS that is a solution, it's eliminating all the add-on's placed within it. I know a family who has 1 son, and all 3 are on SS Disabled monthly income, they live on a Lake, have a boat, and a nice home, as well as two cars. They sure don't look disabled to me, and you & I will support them their entire life. Also have a friend who retired early, is on SS, and his two kids in college get $1,100/mo each from SS because he's on SS. <Entitlements gone wild!
