Michelle Obama is preaching to eat healthy to our children. She asked the children to promise to eat good for her! I guess parents are not capable of doing this task in her eyes? Instead of begging the children to eat good, why don't she advocate that no junk food can be purchased with a link card by the parents? That's what someone that REALLY CARES would do! Yeah..... I know.... they would lose votes. Those Obama's can really shovel out the propaganda!

When Michelle Obama gets a dietician's license she can tell people what to eat. We might take her seriously if she does that and loses at least half that hind end of hers.

She needs to lose the cheeseburgers too. Did you all see her shoveling it in at the inauguration luncheon? Slow down, the taxpayers will pay for more food tomorrow.

You were probably for Nancy's "Just Say No" campaign. I guess the parents couldn't teach that.
When I go pick up my kids at Liberty there are nothing but heavy kids. Don't think New Lenox is Obama country nor the land of Link cards.

That's a joke. Sometimes humor does not transcend well.

Glad you brought that up. Did you see the cost? 2.5% of what you earn yearly if you have private insurance to cover deadbeats. Obamacare will cost about $4000 a person to cover you. Terrible care also. How do you feel about that? It's going to bankrupt families and the nation!

I'm sure Obamacare is not perfect. I spend quite a bit of time in Canada. I don't have extensive experience with their health care system. We have used it for some broken bones and stitches and found it efficient. I don't have experience with hip replacement etc.
I do like their prescription prices. It is cheaper to pay full price than go through my insurance plan.
I do know that my wife was unable to get health insurance due to ovarian cancer. The only insurance she could get was catastrophic health insurance through the state. No matter the cost we couldn't get it. I will say $400/month per person sounds cheap. I have to pay for my wife and 3 kids and it is in excess of $20,000/year due to my wife's cancer. Thats with a $3000 deductible. She qualified for conventual insurance after 7 years of being cancer free.
Like I said there parts I like and there are parts that need refinement. It's a start.

I hear you Four More, and sorry to hear about your wife.

I wrestle with a lot of views on Obamacare. One is that the Government has no business controling our Health Care Industry in the first place. Another is it's good to see previous conditions will be nulled. Another is the lies & fraud & bribes used to get it passed. Etc., etc,., etc.We are in this situation because of government regulations in the first pace too. Things like Insurance Companies not allowed to compete cross state lines. ER's forced to treat Illegals for non-emergency conditions is another problem. I once read that a Hospital in LA had $70M/yr in unpaid costs of treating illegals. So while there are good & bad points on "all" sides, I still say let it all be government free, and allow the free market & competition run our health care, while only protecting the helpless & elderly. Once Government poked it's nose into our Health Care, things got worse, and worse overall.

Medical is the only monopoly allowed in these United States. Read this rather long exlanation of what is wrong if you want the right info on our problem. Thank you Karl Denninger. Your eyes will be opened once you get this info.

Do you EVER make an effort to educate yourself at all? Why do you not know the reasons SOME health insurance companies CHOOSE not to sell health insurance in different states? This is a direct question I expect you to answer. You're not getting away with regurgitating the same old garbage you copy from Fox News and right wing websites. I know the answer. It's not some elaborate "big government scheme either." It's just the opposite. Now go do some homework.
Secondly, you need to support your assertion that Government alone made Health Care worse. You omitted the role of Private/For Profit Health Care Insurance in making health care costs in this country the highest in the world. I get a kick out of your support for the free market until it applies to you. You're one of the elderly you expect the government to take care of right? You know Private/For Profit Health Insurance doesn't want anything to do with you. It's easy to say you are "free market" and against "government regulation" but it's much tougher to live it.

UNI... Wow! I guess I was right on the money!

Loved this from the article:
Notice that exactly none of these circumstances arose due to natural market forces. Every one of them occurred because of special privileges granted to firms in the medical field by government.

Hey Mokena... You wanted answers to your challenging questions? I noted you challenged "me, the Poster" with no supporting evidence. The article UNI presented in deed will educate you. It certainly added credibility to my ascertions!

UNI, your timing was perfect! Thanks!

The government has no business getting involved in our healthcare. Then when you look at everything they have gotten involved in, has failed and is bankrupt. Why do people put so much trust into the government and look to them to solve every problem? The government has no experience at anything and it shows!

You weren't right about anything. Don't you dare try and pretend you answered any questions posed to you. You don't have a clue. I don't believe you still understand or you wouldn't be posting about insurance companies not being able to sell health insurance across state lines. The only thing Unincorporated's link does that's helpful is point out some of the laws and exemptions the health insurance companies paid for to control the market. Health Insurance companies pay huge dollars to buy politicians to make rules that favor their profitability. You never address that...ever. You just want to blame the government and give health insurance companies a pass. Now quit trolling right wing websites for anti Obama nonsense and prove you understand what you're talking about.
