Is it just me or are there others that will agree with me that the shopping here in our Wal-Mart store is just a horrific experience every time I walk through those sliding doors? First, you can barley fit through the damn isles with a cart due to all of the clutter and shelf stock that hasn't been put away. The floors are a sticky mess, and my shopping cart always has a bad wheel. I wonder how, since the store has only been open for a year? Right? Then upon reaching the correct isle, and looking for you item-of course, the are always out of it! Or, better yet, they no longer carry it anymore! Another problem that is in full effect here at our local store-none of the prices on the shelves match when you get up to the 1 of the 2 cash registers that are open on a Sunday afternoon. You then need a price check and the 23 people that are in line start moaning and groaning. Great job walmart, I will drive down the street and shop at Target even if I have to pay more!

First off, Walmart has been open much longer than a year...

I've never had a problem w/ carts, lack of stock, or price.

I find it odd that you mentioned Target, though, because I do have those types of problems there!

Walmart generally has great customer service too, imo. It is probably the best as far as handling returns, compared to other stores.

The only complaint I have about our Walmart is that they never have enough cash registers open, despite the fact that there are several employees obviously available and mulling about..

Target has lower prices on most items. The product mix is somewhat different but items like dish soap, toiletries and paper products are priced lower or the at the same price. Overall the shopping experience is certainly better at Target

For food items Walmart will never ever beat a grocery store sale price.

If you have a complaint on the service at a Walmart Store you can call 1-800-925-6278 and press 2-2-1 for store issue or press 2-1 for their on line or Walmart.Com complaints.

Welcome to the world of Wal-Mart. When they opened on Farrell in Lockport, was pretty good for about a year or two. Now, forgetaboutit -- I'm back shopping at Target. Target prices are the same or cheaper, stock better choices, have better sales. Walmart now doesn't carry many of the items for price matching. Either they empty the shelves and keep stock in back, or they carry a size of product that no one else does. Bye bye Wal-Mart. Some day those less educated will catch on. You hook 'em big in the beginning and then you start taking advantage once established!

Walmart is just depressing to walk through. It's not appealing to me to shop there! I hope they do well and make money. I personally don't care for the atmosphere!

We don't have a Walmart, but New Lenox does, and it sucks. Had to go there a few nights ago because there is absolutely NO PLACE in Manhattan to shop for simple things and they had only TWO lanes open! Seriously, before Christmas?????

One of the Wal-Mart tricks is to offer a look alike product that is a smaller size. A good example is Reynolds foil, the foil rolls are 5 to 10 feet shorter. Many of the small appliances say they are manufactured for Wal-Mart. I am guessing they are made of cheaper parts and won't wear as well. I agree with you that you have to be an educated shopper.

Bitching to Wal-Mart is like talking into an empty hole. The only way to get their attention to change is to boycott their stores. Believe me, WalMart management knows what they are doing.

Grocery shop at Jewel or Berkot's and if I need a big box store I drive to Romeoville or Lemont for Target.

Walmart is generally dirty, has long lines, unwearable clothing selections and the prices are not any cheaper there like they used to be. I don't understand why people are confused about the failures of Kmart, Sears, JCPenny (Wards way back when) and now Walmart. 80% of the floor space is cloths...Cloths that are laughable in style and quality. No one wants to step into a store were the majority of the goods look like something homeless white trash wears. This is why Target has been winning the war as of late.

I went to WalMart exactly one time when I could not avoid it. Needed a cell charger and was on a trip. I saw them devastate my college town. They moved in and the old downtown section just collapsed. The heart of the little town, devastated. We need more bags of plastic dinosaurs from China. Not!

went shopping for xmas at walmart in joliet on jefferson, and went ther the other day, its dirty as all hell, the bathroom and shit, piss, and toliet paper all over the floors and the seats, and only one faucet works, shitty and nasty in there, and they have nothing to choose from, the isles are always cluttered with shit that needs to be put away...most of the workers do not look clean, and most of them dont look happy to be there, negative attitudes, even subway is dirty...no one wants to eat at a dirty place, just imagine the outside looks nasty what the kitchen looks like, thats why i dont even lllike to go out to eat no more...another new years resolution, not eating out no more, i would rather starve, and half the time when i go out to eat they can never get your order right, i mean how har is it to comply with i want a hamburger plain with fries and a drink, not too hard...people are just lazy these days and dont care...

You probably have a funhouse mirror in your room, chubs. Obesity is one of the few things people can change that can make their lives better and less expensive for all of us. All they have to do is eat less and exercise more. It's pretty simple. Soon Zerocare won't be covering all the things they now get for free like diabetes care, etc that FAT people need. They will pay their own freight so to speak. If you're fat, you can change this. If you're old, too bad. You're gonna die sooner under this regime.
