Why is this douchebag even allowed to work with teens at one of the schools? Did anybody even bother to check his background? Underage consumption of alcohol. Disorderly conduct. Possession of drug paraphenalia.

2-3 year age difference for a 16-17 year old girl is a big difference. The loser was in a position of authority and took advantage of her , even if she says it was consensual , he is a scumbag. Who hires a 20 year old to work with HS girls ???

What is LW hiding? Another incident at LW West with adaptive PE teacher and student leader a couple of months ago. No news regarding that. Who is in charge? The standard of conduct runs from the top down!!!

Since: Mar 14

Stacy Holland is the Media Spokesperson for the district. Parents should be notified of any incidents of alleged sexual misconduct between students and staff immediately! Parents should not have to read about it in the newspapers or on the internet.

Why - that is a very good question! I did read that a background check was conducted. Maybe those charges were misdemeanors or they only look for pedophile type charges? Still, that is not someone that is a good role model for teens.

I don't care if it was one day before the girls 18th birthday and consensual. He should have known better. He has ruined his life and she has ruined hers.

According to the article:
He also passed a criminal background check by both the state and federal governments, according to a statement from Stacy Holland, Director of Community Relations for District 210.

Sorry. In todays times, there are many MANY girls having sex very early. With all the social media and available chances they think they can do what they want. They dont follow the rules about who they can have sex with or not! If a girl has a crush on a teacher, shes going to do her best to get what she wants. They all think they are so grown up an can choose what they want. They do what they want because they think they can get away with it.

Im sorry but it isn't just his fault. Both parties should be punished for these things. And since the court doesnt punish these girls they all believe they are free to still do what they want.

get a grip people. LW did nothing wrong here, nor do they have to report to parents about these things. They are mandated to report any possible criminal activity to the authorities. They did that here. Some districts may put out a press release, but it isn't the law. Once that is done, it is up to the police to report, investigate, etc. The whole "we should not have to read about this in the paper!!" argument is garbage. Whether it comes from the school or the police, it doesn't matter! The fact is that the proper steps were taken to solve the problem. The real issue here is the situation between a student and volunteer coach. The blame should be between them, not the district. They did all the proper steps they could do, it just so happens that in this case the young man acted like an idiot. And if he is guilty, he'll deal with the consequences. Instead of crying and trying to place blame on the school, take control of YOUR situation and educate your children to be wise about these situations.

Spoken like a true school employee. You forget the administrators, teachers, and staff work for us, the taxpayers. They should be reporting these things to their employer (the taxpayers). We shouldn't have to read about it in the paper. Remember when Central parents had to read in the paper the assistant principal beat his wife up? He resigned and that all went away very quietly. Quiet, just the way LW and NLSD likes things to stay.

As long as he marries her, he can be the superintendent of the Valley View School District one day. The school board will even pay for his doctorate. I say this man is just following in the footsteps of a great man like Dr. Mitchum.

This is what happens when you elect a president that's goal is to tear down the pillars that have held our society up for over 200yrs. Everything immoral and backwards is celebrated. You get rid of values, morals, and ethics, and these situations will eventfully become the norm one day. Talking against this type of behavior will mean that you are insensitive and demeaning! Society will soon be lecturing us it's none of our business what two consenting people in love do! I know it's sounds crazy to rational thinking people.......but it's going to be happening if we don't change the direction this nation is heading in! Liberalism is the moral decay of society!
