Which is it. A 20 yr plan costing 29 million dollar which included new water mains, sewer repairs throughout the city. Or is the new 30 Million dollar under Robinson the correct plan which includes new water mains and sewer repairs throughout the city. Please clairfy which is wrong.

Here's the difference between the two plans.

The plan that Turner calls the $29 million mistake was for Downtown water/sewer rehabilitation. Within that plan was a microfiltration plant which cost $4 million.

The key to the above plan was that IT WAS FUNDED.

Turner's new plan was revealed in March by his buddy Russ from Robinson. Robinson's plan called for $25 million for the Downtown area. It DID NOT include a microfiltration plant.

The key to the Turner/Robinson plan IS THAT IT IS NOT FUNDED.

Turner wants to borrow another $8 million to cover the $25 million plan his buddy presented. That leave you and me with $17 million of UNFUNDED work that needs to be done.

The key to the above paragraph is that Turner's buddy talked out of both sides of his mouth. He recommended $25 million but only suggested funding for $8 million. The bottom line is that such a plan means NOTHING GETS DONE BECAUSE FUNDS WON'T BE AVAILABLE.

Then, Turner has the misguided notion that he can do $25 million of UNFUNDED projects while lowering the water rates!!! What an idiot.

Don't forget that not once during his term as Alderman did Van Dyke ever suggest closing the wells. In fact he was the one who would bring in props for the audience to see about microfiltration, and of course his favorite Ultra Violet. Naturally now is behing the closing of the wells, like it was a grand idea, forgetting that was a option during the time the city went to the arbritrator pleading their case for the rate increase. In fact look back at video and you will hear Van Dyke stating have to meet the standards regardless of cost. Guess the FORKED TONGUE was speaking in his native language. No offense to any nationality or race.

The $8M infundingis actually 4 for water and 4 for roads. So we would still have $21M unfunded under the current proposal.

Also the current proposal only looks at downtown. Robinson admitted they were instructed not to look at the rest of town.

Don't forget the reason Robinson was brought back in, They designed the system, and knew of its shortcomings, even had a full plan themselves years ago of the needed repairs throughout the city.

We already went for bond for 3.5 mil on ML realty project paying interest and now another 4 mil with interest bond for part of downtown.

So again, how was it a 29 million mistake to do improvements throughout the city, but now it is a great idea and on top of it will be paying interest on bonds.

Don't forget it was a 10 million bond, 3.5 for the ML project and another 6 million for roads, the rest in interest. Of course the only thing accomplished was the ML realty and that should have been paid in cash with the money collected already as per the arbritrator. The reamining 6 mil in roads was supposed to cover a good portion of the town, I don't know which streets you drive on, but most of those I do are still in need of repair.

OOOOOOHHHHHH thats right close to 1 million in +NOBID studies to Robinson. I'm sorry.

The revenue from one percent retail sales tax that was approved by the voters was to be used only for infrastructure improvements, and not for any other purpose, such as paying off interest on bonds. Suddenly, now its OK to use that revenue to pay interest on bonds because Turner and his lapdogs think its a good idea. Sorry, but we don't happen to agree!

Actually supposedly could be or any of the other words HEAD COWARD likes to use, the 1% tax increase was for roads as a pay as you go method. This comes from the txpayers who voted, the same taxpayers they claim they are representing by changing what they voted on. Remember them sitting at the council, claiming the voters voted us in to save the water bill and the minority should respect the wishes of the voters. Guess that only applies when it is for something HEAD COWARD,ABSTAINING QUEEN,FORKED TONGUE,SLEEPY want, but when it comes to what the voters wanted ; PAY AS YOU GO ROAD REPAIRS means nothing to them. Also there was money in the funds to pay cash for the ML project as well as other projects. Remember Ald Maryknowski publicly stated there was a surplus of millions each year adding up which is why the rates should be lowered. Naturally that was all soundbites, since without that money, the city would not even qualify for a bond if needed. Of course we all know not needed, just ask HEAD COWARD 29million mistake no work needed. That is until after the election, would not surprise me to see them try and convince everyone a rate increase will be needed if by some chance they happen to get into office and stay in office. Robinson 30million plan is right around corner. After elections.

Well safe to say, not one of the HEAD COWARD supporters decided to get in on this conversation. Naturally they all jumped in with either vulger remarks, chamber comments, defending bnakruptcy, you name it, but when it came to FACTS, once again all HEAD COWARD supporters turn tail and run. If they could not run fast enough, then turn around and spew garbage, use smoke and mirrors and of course try and spin into something else.

SO in closing on this election day, remeber it was not a 29 million mistake, the mistake was when those that voted BLINDLY, listening to political soundbites went to the polls last time thinking they were getting saviors.

Think hard today, and look what has taken place for the last 2yrs voting that way.

No work on infastructure, Hardly and road work accomplished, no NEW projects began, childish behavior on the council(sure their will be differences, but not childish).

All this while your water rates went up, taxes went up that was voted on by voters for road plan, developers fled faster than you could see, professional staff fled faster than developers, and to top it off never getting questions that was asked during public meetings answered. So if you want more of this and trust me will only get worse, for all the money collected from water rates increases is gone thanks to NO-BID Robinson and nearly 2 million in studies over 2 yrs, hundreds of thousands to NO-BID Odelson for legal fees over 2yrs. If you also like taking bonds and paying interest for everything, if you liked having No-BID in millions while requesting the police dept to go out for bid for belt buckles, then you know how to vote.

Good luck to all condidates, and lets hope the voters are informed this time.
