I don't see anyone disagreeing about the "sight" of these poor animals.
Obviously, somebody did.

So how many more donations from the mayors campain fund will end up here. Guess we know why now he don't say anything about the Humane Society poor care of it's cats at Petco. He sure does know who to support with the funds from his war chest.

It really doesn't matter who donates to the humane society. At the end of the day you clearly have issues with their leadership. Take it to them.

Your right it doesn't matter who donates to them. What matters is how. Using campain funds to donate isn't really donating. Yet you can write it off.

Actually, yes it is donating and its done all the time all over the place through out Illinois. And no it isn't a write off and isn't used as such. Check your facts first.

So with all the comments that have been made here I see one thing that is repeated over and over again. It all comes to a person on the board. I have read all 3 pages of this thread and will say that the poor animals are the losers here. You have swayed me to find another shelter to help out. While I have not been to any meetings I have been to a couple of their adoption events. Speaking to some of the volunteers to see if I would like to help them out. What I came away with is even the volunteers feel that Romeoville Humane Society was to stressful due to all the board members. So I now have decided to help out South Suburban Humane Society. Great place and people that care about their animals and the people that volunteer for them. So if you are thinking of helping a shelter out this is the one.

I heard that there is another rescue that is made up of mostly former members of the Romeoville Humane Society that doesn't have any of this drama and really helps their animals. Also makes sure that their volunteers feel welcomed. Anybody know their name?

I think that might be a shelter that is named Safely Home.

The Petsmart night managers say that the RHS cats are the best taken care of cats they’ve seen in all the Petsmarts they have been to/worked at and the best kept adoption center. Nice to hear.

I agree. As I have stated before, my wife volunteers for RHS, and works at the Petsmart. She has NEVER been made to feel unwelcome or put out. The cats at Petsmart are very well taken care of, and all are healthy. She has taken pictures of several of these cats, and if I can I will post them here. If anyone has evidence to the contrary, put it up for all to see because the accusations I am hearing in this thread dont mesh with the reality I have witnessed.

So what I have seen here has made me go to another shelter-rescue and Help out there. Heck there own officers seem to be raising money for another local shelter. Of course you could say it is networking but when you are at a cause and spending lots of money for that shelter and tight wad your own makes you wonder.

If that is what you think. How ever they are self funded and except for an occasional flyer printed they raise their own funds. On this get your facts straight.

My post may have seemed misleading but in light of what you said it is still accurate. The money though not exactly tax money comes from tax payers. And "no kill" shelters do more harm than good.
