Your the looking like an idiot here. You mind, closed and narrow, is set to vote yes, so do what you feel is right, because your going to do it anyway...just like you will challenge anything anyone posts because you don't know any better. You wouldn't....and don't know the truth staring you right in the face. You wanted information, you got it...still your narrow mind can't comprehend what you reading. What does he gain? money. He has lied to the people failing to mention his hidden little clause. Maybe he gets a raise out of it, he is after all looking out for his own best interest, not the schools....or the kids. What does the board gain? not sure on that one, maybe they like the power of being on a board, I have no idea, they are useless. They are doing nothing to help the school but to support Russom. Clearly Russom and his board need to go.

<quoted text> So what exactly DO Bosrd of Ed members gain in the event of a merge? And merge or not, what does the superintendent gain? If there is no merge- he remains the superintendent. If there is a merge, according to your info that can't be verified right now but apparently can be supported by a phone cell to the school on Monday, he's superintendent. Wow... Huge difference! Superintendent... Or Superintendent. What a GAIN! Almost as much as someone who receives. no monetary compensation for serving on a school board gets if a school merges! Wow!!! You are so clueless and desperate that I almost feel sorry for you for making yourself look like such an idiot!

"what does he gain? money". And "maybe he gets a raise out of it". Don't you see how foolish that sounds? You're trying to preach it as Gospel, when there is no proof to back any of it up... The theory is full of maybes, supposedlies, probablies, likelies, etc, No proof whatsoever. Just dumb.

Lets not forget that at the VERY LEAST DR gets a 17% raise that'll bring him close to the 140K+ a yr. From my understanding he is going to get much more, closer to the 170K, plus a purty little contract. Not only that but he also gets a nice little merge bonus, him and Ralph. I have said/wrote it form the begaining, want the answers follow the $$$$$$$$$$ The super in Johnstown just got a huge money contract close to the 200K mark, I'm quite sure it must all be about the kids and a better education Bwahahahahahahahahehehehahahah ehehahahehaha!

Just wondering where it's in writing that he will get a 17% raise. I'm not saying it's not true if you've got some verification, but I've never seen that-(contracts usually hold up for their duration and then negotiations begin on a new one when they expire) so if you have proven information, please share it. If you're referring to the "leveling up" issue- that only applies to the Unionized teachers, not to administrators. No Superintendent in the OE/STJ area would ever be able to negotiate a salary of $170K. You just pulled that number out of your arse for shock value because you're running out of "stories.". So... Verification, please? And if you're right- you're right- as I said, I just haven't seen that info in writing, so it seems hard to believe.

Don't feel sorry for me I know what I'm talking about and couldn't care less about your opinion of me. If you think DR won't gain a bigger payday for this merge you are the idiot not me. A longer contract so he can continue to collect from a school that he, personally, is running into the ground. He doesn't pay taxes here and has no family in this school. The current BOE has more connections to STJ school then you care to open your eyes to. They don't have the interest of OE students and community on their minds its STJ and their family/alumni/and connnections there.

If your serious then I feel for you, if your just here blowing smoke then..........so be it. DR will make a nice fat gain in pay, it was briefly brought up during the consultants little sales pitch. It is one of those things "they don't want to dwell on because it's really not important". Just like they said they would not want to sway anyones vote one way or the another. BUT of course, on their closing night they were very quick to bring up the dream of a "brand New foot ball team!" Lets not forget these consultants work on a commission NO SALE NO MONEY, so is it in their best interest to dish out any negativity of a merge, just ask yourself?

@ Not Your Puppet, don't get into a p'ing match with Jansen this person was/is Dan from St J, and tries like heck to make people look stupid. He'll just keep asking the same repetitive questions over and over. He got all the answers before, he just likes stirring the pot.

Again, not Dan. Just sayin'. But, in all seriousness, why are you so afraid to provide facts to back up your claims? Oh, that's right, you have no facts. Just theories. He said, she said, they said, I heard, I believe, it seems like, it probably will happen, I think, blah, blah, blah. Not much substance there to support your rants!

Why don't you stick to teaching your classroom instead of coming on here attacking people that you smile at when you meet them in person. You will gain with a merge, nice increase for you. Why don't you resign from OE and take a position at St J, you would fit in there very nicely.

What would non-paid elected members of a board of education possibly gain from a school merger anywhere? What a dumbass argument that is. And if Russom has a "merger clause" in HIS contract, does that mean that STJ's super just has to go? Seems hard to believe, so what are the actual details of this clause that you seem to have seen and analyzed so thoroughly?
Mr. Russom is not guaranteed a position as Superintendent of the new district-State Regs.

No I wasn't at the board meeting, I was at the concert supporting the kids, while the board was tearing apart the school and putting fear into parents. And for your information I attend most meetings and am very involved with the school...so know what your talking about before you open your mouth. And no I am not a Frasier before you come back with that one.

If you are supporting the kids, then do the right thing, vote for the merger.it's what the kids want.

. Once again, incorrect. Despite what you think, not only teachers and administrators are in support if a merge. ALL of the intelligent people around here are!

I hope the parents of the children that have already moved their children to Johstown, DCS and ST.J. will still come out to vote. I am sure you want to keep your children in the school they are now enrolled in, Lets not forget the children whom couldnt relocate due to transportation. Also remember a merge will lower taxes and raise property value. Please vote yes for the kids!

They should vote, NO so we can once again gain control of OECS.

YOU MUST BE FROM ST J. This is the dumbest statement I've seen yet. OE's property value will fall, and fall FAST. Then to boot the OE taxes will hit the roof! How in the heck is property value going to go up when there is NO school! It will disapear with a merge, that and the tax hike on OE are the only guarntees in that piece of crap merge study!

Just vote NO, once again Russom is painting the doom and gloom seniero for OE, or is the plush created postion he will have at St. J, basically allowed to sit in a corner office to drink coffee and read a newspaper all day long until his contrat is over. Nice work if you can get it!! Yeah, if I were him I would be voting Yes as well, but I am not him, so I am voting NO, NO, NO and NO again!
