Not everyone who goes to the Budweiser Event Center drinks Budweiser beer. You do know that right? It is just the name of the building.

JWs do tend to enjoy drinking. Most that I've known would drink in moderation, but there were those who got drunk on a regular basis. One was a pioneer sister in my home congregation. One elder in particular would bail her out of jail when she was arrested for DUI or for causing an accident while drinking.

The dramas are plays of sorts where different Biblical events are acted out to a recorded script by local JWs in costume. The dramas tend to be the highlight of the conventions.

Is it the reason why so many of you, even after leaving or getting the boots, still attend the conventions? Don't beleive so? Ask Unchained and CIA, just to name these 2.

Gotta love the net thang.

Gareth quoted the article, that is all.

Whether the concession stands in the arena serve beer or not is a non-issue. Concession stands are not used at DCs.

Regarding the consumption of alcohol after the convention, there is nothing saying JWs do not drink alcohol in moderation. The article stated that the majority of funds go to lodging, etc.

And the brothers who handle the talks at the convention do not get drunk before giving their parts. That is crazy talk.

Gareth never said that. He merely quoted from the article.

If you had asked if there were JWs who would consume alcohol afterward he would have answered your question.

Did those who you knew that got drunk on a regular basis get reproved?

Did this pioneer sister get DUIs regularly? If not, was she removed from being a pioneer, or possibly reproved or DFe'd, after her DUI? Did she lose her driver's license? Did she get DUIs after losing her license?

Your grammar suggests that the behavior (getting bailed out at the jail) waas continual. Thanks for clearing up your statements.
