Look at the family. It has dysfunction written all over it. Great job, Mom, raising your daughter to pick a hoodlum boyfriend!

Did these idiots realize they could kill this girl??? 16 and 17 and no sense of morals, compassion or love for the little girl. That's real nice. The mother's must be so proud to have raised these animals. I am sorry but kids raised with morals, love and consistency do not act like this. I wish the American family was more stable than it is. Too much too soon for kids nowadays with too little parental guidance creates monsters.

Craig I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not but let's face it-our society is much more accepting of violence than anything sexual. So much so that we were appalled and incensed with Janet's tit but merely disgusted show Jacksass. The violent cops & bad guy video games were OK but add a couple of whores and "Oh my god they are ruining our moral fabric".

Lack of parental guidance is the only thing that should be blamed. Not video games. THere are millions and millions of people that play violent video games and never hurt a living creature. these kids have major issue and obviously the mother has no clue on how to raise her kids. IF you cant spend time with your kids then dont have them. Its very simple. They should not be alowed to breed

I was being sarcastic. I don't disagree that we seem to have a sexuality-violence double standard.

True. But it's the role of parents to sort that out for the kids. I mean, kids don't just suddenly try video game moves on a younger child out of the blue.

,.....Alot ot these stupid and sadistic crimes, have nothing to do with race or parenting. Most teenagers have a mind of their own and think that they are smarter than the rest of the human population, especially their parents. So to add in racists comments and point the finger, at anyone other than the perp, doesn't help either.

My son has been playing Mortal Kombat and Doom since I can remember.(he will be 17 tomorrow! REPTILE227 on Xbox live) I once tried to lecture him at a young age about the difference between video game violence and reality and just when I began preaching my son said " Dad, it's a game, do you think I am that stupid?" I never brought it up again and have never had any violence problems or any video game problems from any of my family and we all play. I think video games have been a positive in my family and will continue to be forever, unless we have another crash like the video game crash of the early 80's which I suffered through.

Nope - because on a video game all you have to do is hit "restart." No damage is permanent in the virtual world.

This story is truly sad...

Well said. Although I am always leary of blaming parents when kids go wrong. Sometimes no matter how hard you try a kid ends up bad. Just like sometimes it is the parents fault.
