City Attorney John Richey
Devious Dude

United States

#21 Jan 22, 2013
John Richey is a sex pervert that absolutely has no business being a city attorney for any town. You will all see why very soon.
With him, Tom Burton, and Vernon Campbell in the positions they are in, this city is a liability time bomb just waiting to go off

This has been going on for years with the same people in office. that town is so corrupt it has a BAD name in a 3 state area!!!! I was in St. Louis and had people talkn about it there. Now they are making it worse by putting vernnon cambell and his douchebag son in office. Already people are talking about how his son (thomas) is running amock because he thinks he can cause of daddy! Thomas is supposed to b a youth pastor at a local church but is out cussing @ kids and bulling a lot of good kids that r not out causing trouble. He better watch out for the wrong one that he does it to cause he will get his ASS whipped. I can only hope that the next mayor, not jim will take notice to the bullshit that is going on. ask ur other officers about it behind closed doors.

They screwed a couple over some property in the town told them they could clean it up it was an eye site in the city. They spent thousands to clean it up and tear down the old structure that was sitting on it. When they were ready to do what they wanted with the property after the cleanup was completed and money was spent the city turned around and told them they couldn't do anything with the property and that they were just crap out of luck on the money. All city officials where involved. They lied and cost these people a fortune and refuse to do anything about it.

IF this is true, get a good lawyer (not local) and SUE the hell out of em. Town is broke, so if they get sued we might get new "owners" who could make the city better.

Back in my day the building in JC were new and so were the homes. You could buy a house for 1500 dollars and a loaf of bread for 5 cents. I bought my first car for 28 dollars and drove up and down Broadway. I wear glasses and my pants won't stay on without a belt. Goats make good farm animals. Has anyone seen my cat?

Were they trying to put a trailer on the lot?
OK Given

The key point is that Frenchie Erwin, in his capacity as JC enforcement officer, approved the plans and gave the ok to put a trailer on that lot.

I don't think it was a trailer. What I heard was they followed all the legal procedures and were then told by the mayor and a select group of aldermen they could not proceed.

It was a trailer and wasn't within the regulations of the ordinance (size, etc.)

I'm so fed up with goof troop bs and lies. they must employee someone full time just to cover their ass. How do think these people feel when they get an ok from Erwin put all the work and money into cleaning the property and then they are told sorry but a goof troop supporter objective and now you can't build. Hope they sue the hell out of jc the mayor, council and Erwin

Im new to this site and when I read this argument about the family clearing the lot and then told they couldn't put a home on it, I knew it had to have been a trailer. If you know anything about real estate and ordinances you would know that that is what must have transpired. Nobody wants trailers in city limits. Destroys curb appeal when you put a double wide side-ways on a lot.

It doesn't matter if they get the ok from Frenchie Erwin who is the representive of the city. That is the bases of the lawsuit and that's why they will win.

This couple was told by "Gerald Erwin" the cities code enforcer and also by the mayor and the rest of the council that it could be done. They followed all legal actions and the city along with Mr Erwin knew of the intentions with the trailer from day one. Knew everything about it size condition "Brand New" vinyl siding, shingled roof. There was a trailer on it before. This couple had the support of all the residents surrounding this piece of property except one guy living next door that was actually constructing a fence to block out seeing the old crap that was on the lot. Everything was handled correctly by the couple if Frenchie would do his job he would have wasted their money. After the city realized it would be sued they tried everything they could to remedie the situation to avoid the lawsuit except handing over the money. This city use to be a great place to live you didn't have to worry about things like this. Now I can't seem to leave it quick enough. We pay atleast 25$ more a month for water, sewer, trash than the neighboring cities. Have people on payroll that don't know anything about how to do the "Job" they are appointed to.

People in JC need to take matters in their own hands to fight this corruption. Just don't support these "busineses men's" businesses. If you want a drink go to the Pub, want insurance buy it somwhere else than Boyd or Mitchell, etc.. If these people where "college educated busineses men" instead of "high school educated business men" they would understand you don't "piss off" so many potential customers in a small town.
I don't know why anyone would live in Williamson County. My real estate taxes went up from $27.00 to $2461. That's on 39 acres of woody ground. My neighbor has 40 acres of same type of ground. His went from 13.00 to $17.00. It's hard for me to understand.
