probably shouldnt have put it that way. I just dont feel it is probably at the hand of "cheese Crabtree"! Thats all I was trying to say. I find it sad that someones dream of a bar and grill is gone. I did eat there once and the food was fantastic!

The word was spread throughout the Marine community of the entire area &the loss of business was a factor. This was confirmed by the owners post. Another Victory for the Corps.

Another loss for Johnston City. The city lost thousands in sales tax revenue by this business closing.

WSIL NEWS -- Three critical violations and a variety of other issues earned Maddie's Pub and Grub in Johnston City a 74 at its last check by the health inspector.
A rodent problem cost the restaurant four points. Five more were deducted for having moldy tomatoes in the refrigerator, and Maddies lost another four because raw meat wasn't adequately separated from ready to eat foods.
Chicken wings weren't being thawed correctly, and the inspector also recommended the inside of the refrigerators and microwave be cleaned and sanitized, along with the food prep surfaces and the exterior of the kitchen equipment.
When the inspector followed up about a week later most of the problems had been addressed, but Maddie's was told to continue taking steps to eliminate rodents. We contacted the restaurant for their take on the inspection but did not hear back from management.

almost every good resteraunt in the area has got a bad report. If you look it up at one time even Cracker Barrel had a bad report and the place looks spotless. So I wouldn't worry to much about those damn reports. I've worked in alot of kitchens that have been alot worse.

The place was nasty. If you ate there I would be checked. if you can't keep it clean then they need to close the doors.

I would leave JC to not because of the political aspect but because of all the bull that the loser post on this sight. They talk about how things need to change, what needs to change is they need to get a life.

What should we do ignore the corruption and bad government. Don't you think the people of JC deserve to know how their tax dollars are spent? Don't the people deserve to know why their water rates are so high? The people of JC should expect their elected officials to keep their word? We do need a change. We need a new mayor.

Please don't close Maddie's! It's my favorite bar. Food was great. That whole marine/tshirt/colors controversy was ridiculous. We need the revenue in JC.

Who owns and/or manages the new business that is at the corner of Grand & Broadway? What kind of shop is it? Its in the building that was Bonnies & then later Joe B's pizza.

I can't recall the girls' name, but it's sort of a mix of an antique/craft shop. She had some pretty cool stuff in there the day we stopped in to check it out....

a GREAT place to hang out when Dan had it.The new owners ran thier steady customers OFF one by one.His way or the highway well HIT THE ROAD JACK dont come back no more.I left over 6 wings leftover out of 20.They are going to throw MY wings in the trash rather than let me take them home.Jesse said 50 cent wings were to increase businees.I said before I left GUESS WHAT its not working .you will be closed in a year.
